My opinion: moa bird feels too strong
far from it.lol.
you’re kidding right?
I’ve never been killed in this form.
you’re kidding right?
haven’t been open 10 minutes and already trolling. =))
Seems balanced to me. Do you have any data to back up your anecdotal evidence?
lol, it sure is, right?!
The ability itself can be blocked/dodged and the victim can move at standard speed and even attack for light damage where appropriate.
My advice to you is to recognize its animation and respond accordingly; it has a reasonable cast-time.
well…he wasn’t looking for info. he basically said that an ability was OP. what is there to help?

Edit: sorry, should have quoted. I have noticed with the community in general, when you go looking for information from other players, you’re a lot more likely to get flamed or trolled than actually get something useful. Wonder why that is.

Exactly.
It’s basically a free kill on anyone hit by it.
Instead of making a statement like that, and nothing else, maybe provide some reasoning for why you feel this Elite is overpowered.

Totally not, don’t forget: The Moa has a Stun
Also, In PvP i almost never have the time to cast it, or the enemy dodges, or blocks, or the spell targets a pet or….
you see where this is going
Not OP but awesome when it works. Really useful on boss fights to prevent that massive attack from landing.
I want better elites tbh….
This elite is perfect when you feel like giving your archenemy the bird… form.
The OP is right, a 10 second Daze is incredibly OP by design. Add to the fact that it can counter any other elite in the game (save a few like Thieves Guild and Entangle) It’s prettykittencrazy. The people who are saying its not OP more then likely play 8v8’s more then anything. In a tourney setup where people are organized and have good communication Moa Form=‘s Completely free kill. If you get immoblized as a moa you literally CAN DO NOTHING. Same with Kd’s. When u can’t do anything defensive you DIE and fast. Moa needs to be changed to 5 seconds or up its CD dramatically.
I took it out about 10mins after getting it, Moa is awful. Sure its funny but its pretty meh> time warp on the other hand…now thats awesome.
In PvE:
It turns them into a Moa that still does massive damage if they are a Champion/Vetren. If they have a rather simple attack pattern, Moa Mode can actually make them MORE powerful because it is harder to predict.
In PvP:
Moa Morph quickly loses power the more times it’s used, as the targets will actually at some point read what the skills do. You have a Daze as a Moa. You have decent damage and some other decent abilities. You’re not at all helpless.
I’ve died numberous times in pvp to this skill, but to be fair it was in large group fights each time where I was getting bombarded by the entire enemy team. Doesn’t help the first time though when you’re all confused and have no idea what the skills do nor have the time to check and read them over b/c you are being destroyed.

Moa Morph is not OP at all
many of the reasons listed here are valid but the concerned raised by the people who claims they are OP is ridiculous
they claim that Moa Morph is a 10s daze which it is not
you can attack/run around and even daze targets in Moa form!
in PvE, it hardly works on ANY bosses at all
in wvwvw, it is utterly worthless and in spvp, as long as the targeted player runs while in moa form, he CAN get away if he tries to.
I think it’s imbalanced in its current form. Then again, I’ve never actually tried to do damage while in Moa. Can it put out some hurt?
I would rather argue that both Moa and MI are underpowered compared to Time Warp. Whether this means TW needs a nerf and MI a buff or TW is fine and Moa and MI need buffs, no clue.
Moa is far from it, 10s duration on like 3-4m cooldown? I’ll stick to my Defensive Golem any day.

I find the elites in GW2 to be quite disappointing to be honest. I’ve played GW1 extensively for years and there were a lot variation in working with elite skills. We only get a few choices and the awfully long duration makes elite skills a waste of slot on my bar. Shortest elite has a cool down of 90s and most others are at 240s long. The elites last a few seconds and the remaining minutes are completely useless.
Whether if it’s devs intention in not focusing all about elites but a balanced choices of all skills, the elites are just not usable during that long duration of cool down. I know the devs can argue otherwise like we want players to make the right choice of when to use elite at the right moment and not making the game’s combat all about spamming elites or focus all about elite. I can see the merit behind this principle but “Elites” should be meant to be consistently useful and desirable. The long duration of cool down vastly devalues the benefit of an elite brought to the table.
We’d like to see elites with useful synergy with certain particular build, and to promote certain traits. It doesn’t have to be overly powerful to be proposed as an elite. An elite could be used for its overall usefulness in its consistency throughout combats. We’d love to see elites to be put to good use in every combat that works with certain skill combo or trait synergies, and not just usable in every once out of 10 combats and so forth.

Moa is OP in the form that it can override other elites like lich from necromancers or tornado from elementalists.
10 seconds daze seems right for an elite, but the override thing is totally broken.
