My only toon is a mesmer; I love my mes; but ever since sword and focus nerf the COMBAT has been degrading making it no FUN! ANET; sword on a mesmer is the only THEE only MEELE weapon why are nerfing it? no fun! ik they nerfed it a while back but since then i’ve noticed sword focus is ridiculously lame though, they’re not OP WHY NERFF ITT!!!!!!!! it’s the ONLY MEELE WEAPON

yeah mesmer have been hit with the nerfbat quite hard. i am having less fun playing since they destroyed confusion, but fund ways to still have a sort of similar gameplay. its my guild that makes gw2 a fun experience.

i agree the focus pull delay is lame, and messing with sword auto-chain was odd……but the nerf to sword skill 2 was reasonable. i definitely miss invuln……but it’s still a fantastic skill (just watch for retaliation).

still…..there are other nerfs that bother me greatly (IC moving to 25, chaos armor sucking on staff 4, confusion nerf, etc). so i agree with the OP sentiment………stop the nerfs please.

I know a lot of mesmer’s who’re at the tipping point with the class now – ANY further builds get shut down, and they’ll be shelving their mezzies for good, some after a thousand hours of gameplay.

Many of those have already stopped maining Mesmer and started going to guardian for their support-DPS fix, or Warrior for a taste of true PvE power.

Anet needs to tread VERY lightly in coming patches if they don’t want mesmer to fold as a class and nosedive into engineer and necro territory as “underused and underpowered”

I’ve actually swapped over to maining a engi for pvp and such. It is more team oriented for sure and it makes me sad i love the mezzie.

I stopped playing the past 3 months due to RL stuff and I just came back a few days ago, id like to make some comments.

First, that gif is the best thing since I got my first blo.. you get what I mean.

More importantly, before I stopped playing I made my Mesmer my main. Spent a lot of time getting Tier 3 armor for him and such. First thing I did when I signed on was pick up my mesmer but he just felt WEIRD. I kept getting my butt kicked in both PVE and WVW. What exactly did they change? ive been using my thief again because of that beating
