Guild Wars 2

I just hit level 70 on my only character, a Mesmer.

I’ve looked at tons of videos, guides, etc. They all say different things.

Basically, I am building for WvW. I want something that can dish out a lot of damage and kill an enemy fairly fast.

1)I am not sure the best order to use my abilities in yet.
2)I tend to panic and almost spam click skills when I fight if its 1v1.
3)I really want to try a Shatter build, as I’ve heard those are great.

Right now I just switched to staff + Scepter/torch with:
20
0
10 (Putting last ten here for 20)
0
30

Could someone please tell me if I’m in the right area? I have used a gs + sword/focus the entire time and love it but guides say to use that?

Most shatter builds include 20 points in Dueling for the deceptive evasion and 30 points in illusions for illusionary persona.

The other 20 can either
10 in domination 10 more in dueling (for 30 total)
20 in domination; or
20 in chaos.

all negativity aside,
in my oppinion there are 2 specs for damage, shatter and phantasm. toobz justsaid the shatter spec (0/20/0/0/30), the phantasm spec needs 0/10/0/25/0 for increased phantasm damage.
currently the 0/20/20/0/30 shattercat is my favourite, i have some videos in my signature link if youre interested.
