Hey there guys,

Pretty new to Mesmer (just recently switched away from thief) loving the support in dungeons and such but for open world I’m trying to make myself a condi Mesmer for, now the problem for me is I’m unsure which gear / weapons / runes / sigils would be better. Currently I have viper armor / weapons and rabid trinkets with malice and bursting in weapons but I feel like full rabid might be better because of the trait that makes illusion crits cause bleeds? Or is viper far better because of the duration?

Any advice would be great!

Condi Chrono is great for HPs and solo 1v1s in open world. It’s also “ok” for fights with a few enemies. For aoe you’d probably be more useful with a power spec with the sword, or large scale fights wearing a staff, 3 iWarlocks and spam Quickness and Alacrity while attacking with the sword.

This is what you should aim for as a solo open world Chrono. As for food you should really use the 18% one since it’s a ~10% damage boost and only costs a few silver. There is no need for 20% food or toxic sharpies in open world, so stick to the cheap food if you aren’t filthy rich.
