Hello all. How are you? Hope you had a great weekend.
I am having trouble playing my mesmer and he’s an asura. I have to admit that I am having fun with him – creating clones/phantasms and running around my enemies… And also, dazing any foes (trying to time for the interruption) that sort of thing. Now that I just reached lvl60, things just get a little complicated. I was fiddling with the build editor to figure out what I am really going to focus on – either focusing more on dazing/stun OR using illusion (clones and/or phantasms). I have to admit that using the latter strategy is much more fun than dazing. I have seen other builds on the site, but I tend to stay away following it, I only use them as a guide… Yet, I am still having some problems.
I do have to remind you all that I am not a hardcore player, I am the casual and want to have fun with my toons. My style of playing while using Mesmer is quick kills and delivering tons of damage (as much as possible), and also using illusions to draw enemy’s attention. I wield Sw/P and GS – I am not fond of using other weapons because it does not actually suits me. I am more on the offensive than defensive. There are few questions lingering in my head: Is it possible to run Zerk while using illusion build? What happens if my style of playing is a dud and I am forced to use the daze/stun strategy (which means less illusions)?
