So, very, very recently I started playing GW2 again. I didn’t play it very much, and when I restarted I decided to try Mesmer. It’s still early to do things, but I’ve been wanting to look into Traits since I am nearing 30, and trying to decide what I should get.

So far, I’ve enjoyed the Scepter/Focus and the Staff for my weapons, and seem to use Sigils for my Utility stuff, though I think part of that might be laziness. And looking into the Traits some, I think I would like Inspiration/Chaos a lot.

Mostly, I was wondering if someone could give me some ideas on what kind of Traits I may want to look into/what kind of build. Ideally I’m wanting to be very support-heavy. I like Chaos because it has the bouncing ball of random buff/debuff stuff, which is very fun for me, but probably not very practical. So I was hoping I could try and talk to people about what kind of traits I could look at to make the most of the kind of thing I’d like to have out of a Mesmer.

Sorry for how poorly structured this is, I just am unsure of how to word what I want. I really am liking the Mesmer, and intend to stick with it either way.

If your focus is going to be Support, then you’ll probably want to focus on a Mantra-based build. The Inspiration line lets you heal and cleanse your allies quite a few ways. Taking, for instance, Inspiration III, X, XI lets you heal allies with mantras and cleanse & give vigor on shatter. Couple that with Dueling X and you’ve got a lot of clones to keep your allies alive.

Maybe something like this: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fhAQFAWl0npItVpxANUrNytxYyKG50l8SOlMggB-TxwHABBcBAYUHAAPAAhAYC-e

Oh. I forgot to say I wanted to focus on PVE. And yeah, I was thinking Mantra’s might be what I want to focus on. It’s just hard to tell, there look like there are so many different ways to play a Mesmer, it’s kind of overwhelming.
