With the impending change to Empowering Mantras, I was wondering what people were planning to run after the patch for dungeons and the like:

With them saying they have changed inspiration a lot since the live stream I’m not too sure how things will pan out.

Whats everyone else planning?

Waiting to see how much confusion Confusing Combatants gives so we know whether Pistolero spam will be The Next Big Thing™ for Mesmers. If not, Chaos Stormway should be good for some laughs.

Yeah to be honest, I’m thinking about making a sinister gear set for mesmer to use for casual pug runs, just because the prospect of spamming mantras over and over again in zerker gear sounds like far less fun.

Rampager or Sinister gear seems really tempting for a Reflect/Confusion build now, actually. X/Duel/Insp, take Evasive Mirror and the Focus trait.

Though this does ultimately depend on A) what the Condi Damage coefficient for Confusion actually is and B) what specific numbers tweaks they make to our other traits that generate Confusion, Bleeding, etc.

Illusions and dueling will be mandatory for a condition build for malicious sorcery and even maim the dissilusioned for a shatter torment burst, and dueling gives you the pistol trait, confusing combatants, and sharpened edges.

The third line could be inspiration for phantasm improvement and reflects, and chaos and chronic might have a few good things to use as well too. Use scepter/pistol/focus, and switch out focus for staff when reflects aren’t needed.
