So, one of the reasons that the HoT Elite Specs are giving Wells to Mesmers, Traps to Guardians, etc. is that ANet want to make more Runes that interact with specific skill types. Given that, what effects would we like to see on our new “skill type” runes?

I think it’s a given we’ll see Well runes of some kind, and the Mesmer skill type we’re most likely to see on another class is probably Mantras. Starting from the assumption that we get a new “Superior Rune of the Font” and “Superior Rune of Repetition” or whatever, what would you like the 4- and 6- bonuses to be?

4th – Make them angry because we got Menders Purity.
6th – Make them angry because we got Harmonious Mantras.

It’s quite hard to say what kind of bonus is realistic since we don’t know how other Mantras could look like. However, I’d like one of the boni be ‘on recharge’ and one ‘on activation’.

I feel sorry for which other class gets stuck with Mantras.

Pretty hard to use anything other than Traveler runes.

If you didn’t need Traveler runes, Defender is already AMAZEBALLS with Mantra healing and would probably make any specific Mantra-themed runes obsolete in comparison.

I don’t, because they’ll probably make them better and more worthwhile than ours.

4th casting a well grant you a random boon.

I’d be happy already with the current runes, if only the % bonuses would affect phantasms …

does it work with heal on mantra cast using restorative mantra’s? or only actual heal skills?
