The way I feel it,
gsword = dmg, great for multi foes
Staff = dmg, support great for 1 vs 1
Tested it, some 1 vs 1 I kill them a little bit faster with staff. But Gsword knockback is sweet, beserker good for aoe on a busy point.
Im like them both. Its hard to decicde ^^

Imo
GS = damage/ long range
Staff = Support
Scepter = Clone factory/ Midrange
Sword = damage/ melee
staff = spvp
gs = wvw
Lol I normally run Staff/GS for non WvW Pvp. Staff is a great defensive option if you run into a 1v1, as there’s no reason you should lose vs anyone by a long shot. When they start to run, swap to GS, cripple and profit. GS is also an always useful long range weapon.
