New mesmer, need help.
I can only answer a few questions because I don’t know anything about raids.
1. Chrono line is a quality of life/bandaid/utility line, you can play power, condition or hybrid builds. It lends itself well to condition because of only needing one other line (Illusions) to benefit, but it’s not the only option.
4. Don’t use the same build in wvw and pve – they are two completely different playing fields with different priorities. wvw depends if you want to play in small, medium or large groups, or intend to solo roam – determines how self sufficient your build needs to be for survival or whether you have a given role as part of a group. Condi is all the rage in pvp at the moment, but just jump into some hotjoin (practice) matches and decide what you like for yourself – it is more fun that way and you might discover your own preference.
5. For HoT I think the basic gliding, updraft, mushroom jumping and nuhoch wallows are the priority. After that it’s up to you – I think it’s worth going in for Itzel poison lore and nuhoch stealth detection. I don’t know about Central Tyria masteries because I haven’t levelled any of them yet.
Thank you for your answer. For WvW I just ask in map chat for groups and just join one. They are usually medium to large but sometime small ones. For PvP I have been using the default build I think it was and I am using GS + Sword and Focus as I do not understand how gearing works in PvP. I am currently rank 14, managed to win most of my games and usually top player in few areas (most of the time top in roaming and point capture).
As for damage type I usually prefer the raw dmg vs the condi dmg, but I do like how the Nevermore legendary staff looks like and that is why I was wondering maybe about condition builds.
1.Which is better power or condition dmg when using the chronomancer trait line?
Chrono is primarily utility, and doesn’t really have a preference towards either.
2.What build should I be using for PvE content excluding raids ( I know that raids are a bit different from rest of PvE)?
3. What kind of gear (accessories, armor, weapon and such)should I be wearing for the build?
You’ll want to be going full zerker for non-raids. You’ll still use almost an identical trait setup and weapon setup, but where in a raid you may get commanders/some toughness for boon duration and tanking, in non-raids fights don’t last long enough to need the boon duration, and tanking isn’t a thing outside of raids.

4.I also like doing PvP and WvW, can you guys suggest me a build + gear combo that would be useful in both WvW and PvE, I will try to tweak my own build for PvP as I understand it is very different from WvW and PvE.
Do not attempt to use the same build and/or gear for WvW and PvE. The only thing you’ll succeed at doing is finding a build that’s awful in both.
5. What priorities should I take in leveling masteries, as in Central Tyria or Jungle and what order to take the respective lines in in both Mastery types.
Personal preference here, but: Gliding 1 -> Updraft -> Bouncy shrooms -> Exalted Markings -> Nuhoch Wallows -> poison lore → The rest of gliding.
For Tyria: Fractal attunement 1-3 -> no way I’m doing anything else on purpose.
Thank you, is it possible instead of the second sword/ focus to use GS or Staff, because I don’t like having 2 of same weapon with just different OH seems like less versatility to me.

Strictly speaking, having the same mainhand with a different offhand (you can just equip one mainhand btw, it’ll work for both sets) only has 2 new skills on swap, and so has less diversity in options than a 2-hander.
In reality, swapping to gs or staff during a fight just means your dps and utility potential evaporate with no positive change.
Sword mainhand both has the highest dps from the autoattack and potent defense from blurred frenzy. You don’t need anything from the 2-handers. Instead, you may want reflects from focus, dps from offhand sword, or control and utility from shield.
This is just for instanced stuff though. If you’re going open world, I’d recommend sw/sh+gs to cover the long range option as well as the close range stuff. Long range isn’t needed in instances, which is why you take a pure melee set.
