I’m new to the mesmer and wanting to know if any zerker stat builds were viable for pve and wvw? Anything I can look up or if you could personally help me it would be much appreciated … thanks in advance.

Note that outside of WvW, you’re probably going to want something other than Decoy. It really depends on the situation. If you need more clones for shatters, use Mirror Images (not what this build is about). If you want some defense, run iDefender. If you want some condition removal, run Arcane Thievery, Null Field or iDisenchanter. Illusion of Life is useful when playing with unfamiliar players in easy areas… etc etc etc.

Zerk Mesmer builds works amazing in both, pve and pvp

As you are new, I wouldn’t suggest berzerker armor to you. You have to be very good at dodging and active defense before you use berzerker armor or you’ll just be shooting yourself in the foot.

Mesmers are sort of in the same bag as Thieves, in the “why in the hell wouldn’t you use berserker” bag. They get a lot of millage out of burst and they have enough innate survival that they don’t need toughness/vit as much as others.

Mostly into wvw so any builds using most zerker gear for that? I’m new to Mesmer but have played guild wars since day 1 so I’m pretty confident with my dodging!
Any further feedback is much appreciated. Or if anyone is on sea of sorrows msg me in game and we can run around together

I couldn’t disagree more. My setup will almost always destroy a zerker mes or thief with very very few being able to down me and that is usually because there is multiple foes against just me. I run high toughness in most of my builds and the increased survivability allows me to remain on the field far longer than zerker.

I’d suggest you give the “immortal” or some other bunker build a shot in pvp, then try a full glass cannon, (like “shattercat”) build in pvp, then see if there’s a sweet spot between them that suits your playstyle and skill level.

I wouldn’t give the immortal a try first off, there’s a lot more too it than meets the eye, is a very good build though.

If you want berserker go berserker, really i would advise you to look in this thread (a sticky) lists a lot of builds available to us and all come with guides and what to aim for gear wise etc (most are updated to current patches as well).

as mesmer we are very lucky to have such a good community on the forums, a good example is last patch we had our confusion hit real hard (a conditon/curse) which looked to anhilate a lot of builds however after around 3-5 threads of ’’’the heavens are falling’’ the following pages where theory crafting, build testing and before you new it we had another set of new builds up.

Another question.
I dont know how to get permanently speed on my mesmer. I struggle to play this class, because it is so slow all the time. Well, we have got the Focus, but that is only 12 secs.
How do you trait up for PvE since moving is one of the most important things?

2 traited focus+centaur runes is perma swiftnes. if u dont like focus u can just change wep before fight
