i think it would be cool if Mesmer could create a phantasm that could mimic your target weapon set. and 1/4 of there stats of target

so if you say fighting a GS guardian it would steal GS skill tree start attacking the guardian with his own attacks.

anyways leave thought idea comment : )

Interesting idea, it would be a disadvantage if you are up against someone with a really bad build though

That would be a pretty sick idea. The only problem i could see what if you are fighting someone with defensive orientated weapons? such as Staff Mesmer and what about Engineers using kits?

Then you get onto what skills does it use? All of the weapon skills? Just the auto attacks? what if the skills are AoE attacks like Staff Necros?

I think it would be better if you could “save” it – Like use it on someone that you see, say a Necro Staff user and then create a new Phantom Utility that will summon a Phantom when you next press it – In the same vein as Mimic

I really like this idea. Granted, a lot of thought would have to go into how to properly implement something like this, but I think the payout could be worth it. Having the enemy attack itself seems like a quintessential Mesmer skill.

How about this:

Needs name
Manipulation
1200 range
1second Cast Time(To store Phantasm) Instant activation (summon)
60second cool down (after activation of Phantasm)

It would need a good description, something about absorbing the darkside of the target and having that attack them would be pretty fitting. Also, make it so that it looks like a real player and not just a phantasm as well just to mess with them even more lol It being a Phantasm would mean that it is affected by traits for them:

- Sharper Images
- Phantasmal Healing
- Vengeful Images
- Phantasmal Strength
- Phantasmal Haste – This would depend on its attack style, if it uses just 1 attack or uses ALL the attacks the weapon has

Not So sure about (would it make it OP?)
- Master of Manipulation – Combined with the Phantasm reduction traits?

of course this only copy one set weapon engineer is currently holding. so if you make it they weapon swap after it wont change the phantasmal. it would only copy 1-5 no special class move with it. like burst or steal or all others lol.
