Not sure if intended before or after
Stun breakers only break Stun, they do not break Immobilise (purple chain effect). To break Immobilise you need a condition cleanser, like Mantra of Resolve.
That’s what I thought (was afraid it wasn’t intentional to begin with) but oh well. You win some you lose some. Was at least nice while it lasted. Saved my but a few times from warriors.
stun breakers never broke immobilize, so nothing was changed. to escape root, you can still use blink to escape a quickness combo or something.
Really hate this random reply button disapearence. WTB reply button
Anywho…
Then it must have been buggy as hell. Only been noticing it this week where my happy kitten is still stuck in a root. Didn’t think about blink, will have to utilize that more now.
Blink and Phase Retreat are the best skills we have for escaping any kind of CC. They also allow you to escape from knockdowns.

Hmm…never used staff that much in pvp (not a condition build playstyle kind of guy). Mirror images and decoy will also allow me to instantly get up from a knockdown (heres looking at you warriors) but I still am usually in range of melee (100b) so have to roll back spawning another clone and using it for distortion or using my #3 skill on my sword for distortion and damage as if the warrior moves he cancels his 100b.
One of the best things about staff is that it works with a power or condition build. And it even works very well with a mix of both. Obviously it does more damage with most of its skills in condition builds, but power will increase the damage done by the warlock and your shatters. Since it’s so easy to pop out illusions with this weapon, shatter builds are awesome, esp if you also trait Illusions for some secondary condition damage and use Signet of Illusions. The trick is to play close range if you can, and use IP for max effect and reduce enemy dodges from your shatters..
And nothing competes with 3 warlocks on bosses/champs/dungeon mobs in a power build if you keep them alive, but that’s PVE.

Maybe you were thinking of escaping entangling roots with the shift from Mirror Image. The immobilize from roots only refreshes while you are on top of the roots.
Working as intended + there was never any bug.
If you use Mirror Image / Phase Retreat / Blink slowly (brain lag) after getting hit by a short Immobilize, then the Immob will expire or almost expire by the time you use the ability (especially MI since it is a fraction of a second slower than the other 2).
If you use it very quickly (good reflexes) after being nailed by a long Immobilize, you will distinctly notice the lack of movement capability after using the ability.
Sidenote:
Mantra of Resolve to wipe 3 Immobilizes in a row I WILL GET INTO THE kittenING KEEP YOU kittenES MUHAHAHA.

Probably what happened. I did tend to play more after I got off work from a 12 hour shift and by that time my reaction times sucked. Have only recently been playing on my weeks off so have been reacting faster so probably am now just noticing it.
