Guild Wars 2

Hey guys,

So the guild has been growing steadily and it’s been great fun chatting and meeting with ya’ll in game. We have activities planned, a steady stream of information, and people on at every hour of the day, except for one problem…

.. People aren’t repping. =/

Now, no one is required to rep of course, but it leaves our guild chat unfortunately silent. (Until Chaos hops on and gets it poppin! /pats-self-on-back) and thus making it harder for everyone to meet and collaborate. So I was thinking.. why not have our unofficial meeting days be on Sundays? Here’s what I had in mind.

Sunday will be the day where, if you’re not doing anything with you’re guild or required to rep, you rep OMFG for the day. We have hundreds of people in the guild, so if even a fraction of us do this, we’ll have a lively and active chat where we can easily link up, run dungeons or tourneys or races or.. whatever. Again, this isn’t a requirement, but I think if we all agree’d to attempt to do this it could end up being awesome.

Thoughts?

Good idea to designate a day. Most evenings I rep the guild – there are typically 1 or 2 others and that’s cool. Having one day where everyone is at least aware there may be some mesmer activities going on will probably help get more people engaged.

I will also say that on weekends it seems many more are repping. I think there were 5-10 on Sunday morning (NA) when I was on. Lots of conversation.

Personally, if I’m repping, I’m up for anything if I’m not already in the middle of something. I’d love to get more mesmer dungeon runs going. The few I’ve been on with guild members have been a lot of fun.

I was even thinking about trying to designate one day/night for dungeons, one for PvP activity, etc that way folks know if it’s that night, there might be something going on. Baby steps are good though and Sunday is probably a great day to start with.

I actually have been thinking about an open invitation to all members of our guild to do Tequatl on an overflow or something, so an hour camping in an overflow will give us plenty of time to chit-chat and hang out and stuff. And then when the time comes, we just beat the kitten out of the lizard and get our sweet loot. xD
Everyone who attends will need to rep for easy identification and for guild influence of course.

I think both ideas are great and you can count me in.

During the Teq camping we can also meet on guild team speak so you can talk while we people with terrible accents will try to stay quiet!

I like it. I find myself generally repping a guild with just a few friends that I’ve played multiple MMOs with… I’ll pop into OMFG, but not too much going on so I swap back out to either my friends guild or my WvW guild.

This sounds like a pretty great idea. I’m pretty much repping OMFG 24/7, so will be welcome to have some more people around.

Sounds great, even though sunday is a horrible day for me to plan in-game stuff :P

Just a quick bump to remind people: Sundays will be our official rep-day. Again, not required but highly encouraged!

I’m down. I used to rep a lot, but the silence pushed me back to hanging out in my local guild. I need my nonsensical gold text. If Sunday will have that, then I’m there.
