Guild Wars 2

Hey, as topic i’ve been using Mr Prometheus’s staff build and had been enjoying it very much. In fact he explained it so clear and concise in his mesmer tutorial videos that it actually rekindled my interest in GW2 to play as a mesmer when i gave up on my elem a couple of months ago.

For anyone who is interested, or who are new to the Mesmer class, here is the
first video that i recommend you watch. Its about 1 hour, but totally worth it.

Now the problem is, i don’t see him updating his youtube videos anymore.

So Mr Prometheus, if you are out there, thanks again for your wonderful guides,
and i wish you could make new videos for the new changes that have been updated for the mesmer in this patch.

I wonder this as well. I see people shouting “Mesmer is now useless” (which I don’t think is the case) since the last big patch, but I’ve been so busy reworking my thief I haven’t had much time for my mesmer.

Until last night, when I tried her out in a dungeon and…well, things have clearly changed. Googled “Mr Prometheus” to see if he’s still active and found this thread.

Is it time for an APB? Do we need to send our clones out looking for him?

EDIT: Seems this thread was posted so long ago that my post will be considered a “bump”. Hope I’m not exercising poor forum etiquette here, but I’ll chance it if we can chase down the mesmer guru.

Fwiw, here’s a leveling build based on Mr. P’s mesmer build, but current with the new patch.

For dungeons, I used to run the Phantasm/Reflect 10/20/0/30/10 or 20/20/0/25/5 builds, the new post-patch version of that is 10/30/0/30/0, works fine.

Just ignore all the nubs wailing and gnashing their teeth over the changes. It hurt non-shatter builds in PvP, but PvE is fine.
