Anyone here have a good farming build for Orr events? Or should I stick with my Thief for it? I find I can tag a lot of mobs on my thief, but it’s so boring after a while. My Mesmer is my “main” anyway. I have 2 sets of gear; power/toughness/vit, and power/prec/crit with a few power/prec/toughness (all trinkets are berserker’s, though.) Thanks in advance!

Can also run sword instead of focus and put in SIGILS OF SUPERIOR SPEED into your weapons(10s swift on enemy kill) for permanent swiftness in a pure farming set.

Full berserker gear, recharge your Mantra of Pain between fights. Swordsman hits for 5-6k and up with that setup. Your greatsword surge should hit for 3k if all 3 crit, sword autoattack should do around 3-3,5k on the final hit if crit. Pump as much crit chance as possible(the precision +250 weapon sigil), precision food/maintenance oil etc.
Mantra of pain also should do around 3k crits.

AoE’s: I-berserker, Mind Stab, Mirror blade to some extent, Mind Wrack(Deceptive Evasion for easy clone generation), Cry of Frustration(does enough damage with full berserkers to assure tagging usually), Sword auto, Blurred Frenzy…..

Aoe farming isn’t hard at all as mesmer. It’s easier than people say, especially with being this much cannon.

I mostly run Lazy Kai for Orr. But I run my own full mantra build from time to time too. I am more that kind of a ranged player though.

Power based build I use for PvE. Warden is fantastic for farming, though you have to time your summoning for that dumb initial ‘invulnerable’ state mobs get until they move to position.

Rotation is iWarden → iLeap → dodge in and blurred frenzy → F1 or F2 when warden almost finishes whirling → mirror image → F1 or F2 (whichever you didn’t do earlier) → iBerserker → Mirror Blade → dodge → F1 → repeat. Or you can just aoe slash with sword autoattack during cooldowns if you don’t want to swap to Gs. Don’t forget to constantly change targets and stay in melee range to make use of llusionary persona when shattering.

Though honestly after levelling my guardian to Orr I felt dumb trying to farm with any other class. Just slap on a gs, use leap skill and spin2win. Great results even without partying.

i use this to farm Penitent camp and Shelter’s gate in cursed shore.

full berserker works great for that.

with GS cast #4 followed by #2 followed by a dodge and then a mind wrack.
switch to sword/focus, and depending on whether the mobs are dispersed or not, either use #5 (non dispersed) or #2 (dispersed).

sword/focus are also used in conjunction with mirror images to produce almost guaranteed maximum effect shatters and provide even more damage because you’re face to face with the mobs.

the signet is for a situation where a second wave of mobs spawns and your shatters are still on cooldown, it also helps keep your zerker phantasm alive to get early hits to secure tags.
