Hey,

I’m new to game and to Mesmer and enjoying it a great deal so far (only level 20ish). I’ve realised that overwriting clones/phantasms makes them explode and put some conditions on nearby mobs, including cripple which is obviously really handy for levelling. It makes an argument against shattering them.

But my question is essentially, what is the radius on that effect? Specifically, if I’m using ranged phantoms and they’re quite a long distance from the mob(s), then when replaced they won’t be doing much. Or even for the sword phantasm, which springs back after each attack, is he still within the effect radius for his explosion to affect the mob he sprang back from?

Should be the range that’s indicated in the trait descriptions: 240.

The clones apply the conditions. You are traiting to make your clones little bombs. Phantasms do not produce the effect.
