Just a PSA to the mesmers out there.

MOA is a full transformation, meaning all abilities are replaced, including Healing Signet.

Fight cheese with cheese, I say.

I had a fight earlier with a full tank Warrior. There were 2 of us Mesmers fighting on point. You guessed it – double Moa→dead warrior. If I hadn’t known better I would have thought I was in Wisconsin with all that cheese in one place. :-)

It’s not a problem. Moa one and focus fire him down. He may be alive when the Moa lands, but not for long.

Right before you drop the first warrior, Moa the second one.

Double Moa isn’t necessary (we could have the dropped the warrior in my anecdote with one Moa, but I landed the second Moa to rub it in).

Ironic. I just ran into a rather troublesome Warrior a few nights back. Fast as all get-out, with a redonkulous amount of regen. (We’re talking enough to get hit by 5 of our guys, and still not drop below ~33% hp). I was thinking of using Moa on said Warrior the next time I encounter his behind.

Moa is a bad skill. 2 mesmers should be able to kill 1 war easily without moa him. Moa has long CD dodgeable blockable and every one with even little experience will try to break LoS or jump you in moa form. Even with high power phat or shatter in10 sec you can take war solo only to 50% then he turns back and heal to 100%. I honestly have no idea how to deal with wars in full PTV with healing signet. Almost all my fights with them end up me running away coz i got tiered. I was fighting one of those guys for 5 min or more. 3200 attack 50 crit chance +60 crit dmg 700 cond dmg. Had sometimes Iduelist and izerker up at same time and newer got him even to 50%.
Had to pop Mass invis at the end and leave him a clone for entertainment.

Your Warrior was fast?

The last time I met a Warrior when we where no less than 3 Mesmers he just auto-ran away. One of us gave up early, so we where 2 Mesmers on top of him (both have travellers) and combined we could not dps through his regen and skill pops. He just… ran. We had to give up, not much choice.

Alone, its really impossible to beat them. The only class I play that can is Guardian and that is with pure tenacity and outbunkering the bunker in constant melee battle. It only take about 15 minutes to end a fight.

I am fairly certain the condition damage is the proper way to go (like, really really really heavy condition damage) but alas… I hate condition builds, lol.

Moa is the solution to anything since it’s almost an auto-win skill in open field as long as you have enough burst in 10 seconds.
Too bad it can be evaded and blinded and has a massive cooldown so if you don’t kill him with that then, equal skilled, you should be in a huge disenvantage.

But anyway, mesmer shouldn’t lose of a warrior. At least not in WvW.

So far i have never died when Moa’d. It’s a bad skill 1v1 if you are smart enough to keep at least 1 dodge unused and fight near obstacles.
