Phantasm Build for Dungeons
Firstly I’m currently uploading a recent video of PvE phantasm damage (3 duelists) – Check back in 1-2 hours when I make a topic.
Secondly, here is an old video: http://youtu.be/Pdz7tPk4hfM
Here is my build: http://gw2skills.net/editor/en/?fgEQNAR8alwzipXQTqGZNJxZGRH6oUgdvTqgqLfA3A
I also like swapping between a staff when necessary.
Ussually 2-3 duelists up at all times + zerker depending on the situation. Melee with sword when you can, or else range with greatsword and keep mind stab up whenever possible, the vulnrability is nice. So that is what I recommend.
Im using sword/focus and staff. Sword focus just synergies so well. and Iwarden synergies with staff extremely well also. I used to be sword/pistol but the Iwarden does about 1.5x more damage and reflects projectiles (helping you and allies to melee). Only downside is you have to know when to use him to position him right. I find two Iwardens keep about 15-23 stacks of bleed up, and they are AOE attacks. Throw in a Iwarlock and you got some good damage.
I just like the sword better than focus as confusion in pve is very lacking, and sceptor auto’s will erase you phantasms in long fights. with the sword you get blurred frenzy, great for offense and defense (aoe too) plus autos give vulnerabilty and more damage than focus, and you get a root/gap closer with its #3, which works well with the Iwarden since he is stationary.
Well the first thing you should realize is that your weapon set isn’t your build. You can swap them out in the middle of dungeons.
I just made a post here on a dungeon build that is pretty good but I have a different opinion on how to trait it, you can read both and decide for yourself
