Hi there Mesmers.

I’m in the process of making a kind of an app for us.
Well, my goal was originally to make something to compare Phantasms (for myself) then decided, why not share.

Its rather simple for now, I kind of only got the basics in.
Do share your thoughts however, ideas and if any bug reports too(ty).

So a couple things.

1. Third party tools that snoop the actual client are prohibited. It’s entirely possible you figured out a way to do this without snooping the client, but I can’t tell just from looking at a screenshot of the GUI.
2. As a general rule of thumb, downloading a random app from mega is a really fantastic way to get a virus.

This leads me to my last point which is that if you really want to share this tool upload the source instead, that way people don’t have to worry about malware inserted in it, and we can make sure it’s not breaking the GW2 ToS.

2. Well I would agree, though since this is made by me chances of that happening are -1%.
3. Its not a tool, its windows form app and I don’t think people will be downloading Visual Studio to run it. And I don’t see how can a simulator (can’t be called that just yet) against the ToS lol.

So you’ll just have to virus scan, sandbox or whatever you usually do if you don’t trust me.

I downloaded it, and now my Asura is in a Charrian prison being passed around like a joint.

Seriously, I don’t understand the negativity. It’s a desktop client you enter your traits and stats into and it calculates the range of physical damage you can expect to see on a target for each phant. It’s not hacking your account. Install it in a VM if your tinfoil is wrapped on too tight.

I like it, the only suggestion I have at this point is, please put tooltips on everything. In the traits panel I couldn’t remember the symbols of the trait lines by heart, and in the main panel it took me random clicking here and there to realize you have to click on the weaponskill icon to process the new values. Also I’m not sure what the formula icon indicates… But I haven’t had my coffee yet so it could be something self-evident. So, yeah, tooltips!

I have tooltips prepared but I didn’t do them yet because it takes a lot of time for a visual only thing, I want the functionality up and running first.
Well yeah its a bit rough around the edges atm, but it should get better with time.
Well, weapon icons reset weapon damage to normalized, while phantasm icons recalculate damage based on current stats.
Also, a minor correction for your post, there is no install required.
I’m not sure what you mean by formula icons, the only f in there stands for Frequency of attacks.

Can’t I just enter my stats into the game and see what my phantasms will pump out on my enemies FACE?
