Scattered across the forums and buried in many posts are people saying what does and does not effect Phantasms attack damage.

So does anyone know if this statements are true or false:

1. Might on yourself increases phantasm attack damage.

2. Phantasms can get stacks of might like ranger pets.

3. Sigil of Force (5% damage increase) increases phantasm damage.

4. Your condition duration effects bleeds that phantasms can do.

5. Your critical damage is the same as your phantasms.

6. Phantasms have fury trait, increases there critical chance by 20%, what happens if you have fury as well?

Anybody that can make these things clearer for me and hopefully other people will like the information as well will get to know they have honestly helped someone

Anything else i may have missed would also be great.

Yes. As Might increases Power and Condition Damage and both stats are inherited by the Illusions.

2. Phantasms can get stacks of might like ranger pets.

Yes (easily seen by GS skill 2, which often hits the iZerker and gives Might buff. If fighting one opponten start with iZerker and then skill 2, it should bounce to the iZerker and give him the Might buff).
EDIT: Tests suggests that the boon Might is shown on the phantasm, but it does not seem to affect the phantasm (buggy?)

3. Sigil of Force (5% damage increase) increases phantasm damage.

No. Force increases calculated weapon damage. Illusions are not affected by weapon damage. Also stated in http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sigil_of_Superior_Force that Illusions are not affected.

4. Your condition duration effects bleeds that phantasms can do.

Yes.

5. Your critical damage is the same as your phantasms.

Yes.

6. Phantasms have fury trait, increases there critical chance by 20%, what happens if you have fury as well?

Fury increases critical chance, which is NOT inherited by Illusions, only precision is. So the answer is: your own Fury has no effect on your phantasm.

This is if the wiki is correct. I did not test any of that personally (except for 2.). But it does make sense imho.

Kaunt it is a great help. It means i will change sigil of force to sigil of strengh in my weapons.

Any other information relating to phantasms would also be great, i know all about the recharge times from the wiki now as well.

@wolfield: The recharge times on the phantasms are not necessarily accurate. The recharge times on the phantasmal haste page are.

I agree with Kaunt on everything except for #6. I don’t have access to gw2 right now but I do plan on doing a lot of testing when I get back home as I noticed that sigil of accuracy now affects phantasms. I plan on testing the fury on mesmer, fury on phantasms and sigil of accuracy and phantasms can get a bonus 45% crit chance from those 3. I’ll have more concrete numbers in 7 hours or so.

Yes, accuracy and corruption stacks also help your phants

Just to clarify (2), your illusions can get might stacks, but they do not benefit from it. (This may have changed in the last patch though.)

Did you test that? As the wiki clearly states otherwise. Not saying the wiki is always right (it is definatley not), but its the best we have without any other prove.
As the buff is shown on the phantasm and other buffs (fury, retaliation) definatley work, I do not see any reason why Might should not, on the contrary it shows that the mechanic “boons work on illusions” indeed does work.

I’m quite sure might works on phantasms. I know if I spawn my warden before using SoI in CoF P1, it tends to deal a significantly larger amount of damage. This has been happening to me for months, but I haven’t officially tested.

Also, just recently, Phantasms will inherit your Sigil of Accuracy (+5% Crit Chance).

Thanks for verifying that, I also do notice higher numbers on iZerker with Might than without.

Sorry I doubt that. Illusions do not inherit crit chance, but precision (so anything that increases your precision like Sigil of Perception does help, anything that does increase your crit chance like Fury on yourself or Sigil of Accuracy does not help).

They may have changed that so that your crit chance is inherited, but in that case your own Fury would affect illusions too. A bit over the top in my opinion, as that would give them easily about 100% crit chance.

I doubt they will mix mechanics. Like precision is inherited and crit chance from Sigil of Accuracy too, but no other crit chance increasing mechanics are. It is either the base value of precision or the base value of crit chance, both which maybe modified through Boons/Sigils, etc.

But I believe DuckDuckBOOM wanted to verify that Sigil of Accuracy claim. Maybe he should check for Fury on yourself also. Just in case they indeed changed the stat that is inherited from precision to crit chance.

Before this topic disappears, to confirm, if your trying to make your phantasm damage with sigils, sigil of strengh for the might stacks on critical hits would be one of the best options?

Yes. Damage wise Strength, Bloodlust and Perception all help phantasm damage.

Imho Bloodlust is superior in comparison to Strentgh. It has a higher potential damage increase and works more reliable, that is if you do not die too often :-)

Without boon duration buffs I can get about 4 stacks of Might at ~55% crit chance (of course its rng, so your mileage my vary). Which equals to 14 stacks of Bloodlust.
Depending on your playstyle the one or the other will be good – or both if using main and offhand as 2nd weapon set. Or use 2 GS one with Bloodlust and if you have 25 stacks switch to one with Strength.

Perception if you need/prefer higher crit chance.

I just retested on the dummies in LA near the laurel vendor (since you can’t crit those). No apparent change when they get might from Empower: I keep getting 3000~3300 when 12 stacks should produce a ~18% difference, or a minimum of 3500+.
When I get Empower instead, the zerker damage goes to 3600~3900.
