Sometimes i find myself teleporting to different floors ( up or down) as well as outside of builds, this seems would be really handy if I could do it purpose! anyone mind sharing any Phase Retreat tricks! thank you!

I’m not sure about phase retreat but I do know a few blink tricks. For instance, if there are some bridges you can stand under and blink onto. The catwalks in the caves of CM explorable are a good example of this.

Blink is great in wvw, say you are near the vista island at the beach area a bit north of the vista, you can blink up the cliff lol and thats how i escape enemies hahaha

Another trick you might enjoy when downing somebody is to phase retreat back, and before the downing animation ends, blink to their original position. This mitigates a guardian’s/engineer’s knockback. Ofcourse, this is also applicable to thieves that use their downed teleport skill, or ele’s mist form – just blink to where they step, and you should be able to down them without interruption.

Ofcourse another trick, not necessarily relating to phase retreat, is to pop your invulnerability shatter 4 just before downing somebody (or during the animation) to avoid the knockbacks. And hopefully everyone knows to prevent somebody from resing an ally, or downing an enemy; shatter 3 is an excellent option.

I try to practice them at every available opportunity

phase retreat has gotten me (without meaning to) inside a door, and i was like wtf but i was killed imediatly. I suppose they think i was exploiting.
