I couldn’t find a guide using the forums search.
So here’s a quick video on how to use Phase Retreat (#2 on Mesmer Staff) to quickly move around.

ANet should just make it possible to swap weapon skills like utilities, they could for example edit every skill to be condition dealing or direct dmg dealing etc, the same with leap – forward or backwards :P

Or more simply, if all leaps were forward you’d only need to face the way you wanted to go….

You have NO idea how much I would love that.

Or provide slightly different abilities based on the ‘flavor’ of the weapon. For example, the auto-attack on a Berserker Greatsword would function exactly how it does. A Rabid Greatsword would have the auto-attack cause a stack of Bleeding but do 75% damage. A Soldier’s would cause 1s of Weakness, etc.
