…jumping across a minefield on one leg with a glass of water on the head while juggling with three eggs, just because your bosses are jealous of you being good at juggling in the first place.

…driving an antique coach with three horses: everyone looks at you open-mouthed for a minute or two, but then turns on the stereo, puts the air-con to a comfortable temperature, and gets to their job 10 times faster than you.

…being a can opener next to a bunch of spoons, forks, and knifes: the poor occasionally need you to open a tin of beans, but rich people rarely eat tinned food and it is served opened in the restaurants anyway.

…being a 2 year patient who’s ready to see his next organ fail in the results of each new medical test.

…being in the percussion section in an orchestra, but not playing the timpani – you may be able to use a variety of utility instruments if they’re needed in a piece – too bad that most of the time you have nothing to do and are almost never recognised, while the strings/brass/woodwind all get on with it.

Old news, I’m afraid. It’s painfully obvious none of the devs play the class, at least not enough to have any real understanding of it. They haven’t a clue how the class performs in interaction with other classes, especially in WvW. It should be mandatory with a game like this that those responsible for class balance and changes should have to play every class x-amount of time, it would seem to be simple common sense to me, but AN seems not to have learned this lesson yet.

i was just thinking what might be fun and great for mesmer to bring him back in this game
as for now this class is death and almost none is use it anymore QQ

its all warrior guardians and thiefs atm pretty sad
becouse the mesmer class is so unque in his way

so i remember a game that have a cute mage type of girl that use the power of time
and summon things out of thin air from 10 ton things to cows and much more very funny to see

her name is Viki from the game suikoden for many that dont no its a old rpg game
Viki can also use teleport when she sneez and mostly poof in the wrong place XD

also she can travel true time
wil be great in my few if mesmer use more time magic to slow enemys down ore speed up the party ??

…being the king in chess: everyone cries you’re OP and center of the universe, but you can do just that much and drop dead once your team’s been dealt with.

…finding out you picked the “girlfriend” class without realizing it.

Asking yourself: where is my loot?

trying to skip someone while waiting in line, but getting stuck on the napkin on the floor.

Alt tabbing and spending money you’d otherwise spend on gems towards the subscription to a game that at least pretends to understand the concept of balance.

This coming from a mesmer main with a necro ‘first alt’.

Playing a Mesmer is like:
Turning into a pretty bad thief, that only truly masters the art of stealing banners….
Unfortunately: the real thieves are doing a /point /laugh at your efforts. They steal the speed, the banner and every other buff from you and run away still laughing.
In the meanwhile, the warriors found you and are fairly grumpy with your theft. Gl outrunning them. :P
