Post patch PU-shatter-torment build?
One little mistake I noticed already. Should use Chaotic Dampening (X) in the chaos line for faster staff skill recharge.
I posted one as well a couple weeks ago, only to get stronger post-patch (not using new trait): Chaotic Perdition
No mobility issues there
But overall I think the general consensus is that you really need DE to make using the new trait truly shine. I’m sure folks will experiment without it though, and will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
Couple other notes as I look it over the build one last time
- Runes of tormenting apparently have a 20 second cooldown, so you could use Ether Feast as the heal instead (especially if you already have the disenchanter)
- You can choose Debilitating Dissipation in Chaos. If your clones are getting killed before they shatter, it could be good – don’t know how often this happens.
- Since the build is so low on crit chance and crit damage, might as well take longer confusion duration as a covering condition instead of increased crit chance on Mind Wrack

If I didn’t have such a huge investment in phantasm-power-crit, I would definitely give it a try. I’m sure the lack of mobility would be maddening in wvw, but I bet you could wreak some havoc
Will Main the Disillusioned have an ICD and will it only work with one shatter skill? If not, I would probably work deceptive evasion into your build. You’re in full dire so you probably won’t need PU anyway.
Sometimes I use torment even not on patch cause help kill thieves faster, but my build also works with next patch if they dont nerf anything.
I dont go PU, and I also dont think the regen stuff is the best.
I’m also tankish with TONS of clean conditions, and heals.
It also works for full dire if you change celestial for dire, and get a torch or whatever you choose. But I dont use other off hand if not pistol as said in my post.
