Guild Wars 2

So I finally have the mats saved up from time gated crafting to make 1 set of armour.
I have decided to play Mesmer as chrono is just awesome but am not sure if I should build for power or condi.
Any advice would be great

open world pve, Fractals and hopefully raids

It depends on your build, and you didn’t say what is yours.
If you are applying conditions like bleeding, you want condition damage, if you are using phantasms then you want power.

For PvE you will almost exclusively want to use a power based build because (as you’ll hear around here often) condition mesmer just isn’t a (competitive) thing in PvE.

If you’re just messing around with friends though, spec however you want. But I wouldn’t waste a whole ascended set for a condition spec in that case.

All my opinion, of course.

Power is always a safe bet.

How about going ‘hybrid’? There’s Rampager’s and Viper’s that gives power and condition damage equally. Just a thought.
