Who’d win, PU phantasm or PU condi, and assuming equally skilled players.

PU phantasms if you play it right, bonus points for using signet of ether and LoS, only problem is both are horrible builds to 1vx with properly against a good organized party, not enough long sustain against condi’s in general, so yeah PU is strong but play against 2 good condi specs to 1 good condi spec and 1 zerker and you might be forced to retreat..

If played right, PU condies would be unable to kill PU phantasm due to lack of skills to counter.

However, PU phantasms would be extremely hard-pressed to kill the condie build because the phantasms are so weak in that sort of spec.

Equally skilled players would end up with a draw.

I don’t think phats are week in 20/20/30 build. Empowered illusions, Phantasmal fury, traited sword and pistol in full zerk can give a lot dmg to phats. But if i have to bet on that fight my money are on cond Scepter/torch Staff. Cond PU can have 25k hp 3 k armor and 2000k cond with little direct dmg comparing to power phat build with 2300-2400 armor 16k HP and 3600 attack.
Personally i usually avoid cond builds. Even if i can kill them fights are too long and tiresome. Funny part is I don’t even need to run or hide from cond mesmer i can simply walk away and he can’t stop me.

if you wanna play a balanced phant build play 10 20 30 10 or 0 20 30 20 0 , 20 20 30 is strong but kiss that cleanse goodbye, unless you run null field and lemongrass then you are gonna lose on that vunlerability and bleed stacking but then you could run s/s GS or pistol gs, atm i am trying out phant power PU with all out condi cleanse :P

I always run mantra of resolve. I am a bit lazy and hate to change my build every time. Basically when i run solo i have dire or zerk armor MI MoR Decoy and Mass invis. I sometimes run GS S/P sometimes S/S S/P. Always have Sword traited but change traits on Domination 20 and on Dueling 20 according to weapons i have and things i do. Love to have blink as well but we all can dream:)
