Hey peeps,

Me never understand the meta builds for Mesmers in WvW. I play Mesmer now more that two years and 2309 hours. I make this build. Works for me more than fine in WvW

the uhhh build linked doesnt have Prismatic Understanding

There is no PU in the build. Also there is duellists discipline on the traits but no pistol as weapon

A very good example to prove that the time you spent on doing something doesn’t make you understand what you are doing

This is a mind game. He is trying to make you think he is using a pistol.

This PU build is OP. Way to much stealth.

I know what I’m doing. The focus is for speed. The pistol I use in combat. The staff I use for long distances and defense foes on a wall.
You need the focus for running part’s of a guard/war that give you speed things. For playing scout in WvW you need focus.
The pistol does serious damage to defending enemies.
Staff or greatsword are very good for long range fights. Staff also good for close fights in WvW, not always.
This build is no standard PU build is more hybrid whit DPS

here you go, your mantra build. I’ve changed the weapons, armors and back item to exotic since many people don’t have ascended.

Putting aside the fact that it’s not a PU, nor a hybrid build. Looks more like a phantasm build.

Phantasmal Fury/Deceptive Evasion over Empowering Mantras. Outside of sword AA and Blurred Frenzy, you are not doing much damage and EM doesn’t affect your illusions damage.

Crippling Dissipation and Debilitating Dissipation are both good traits in this kinda build, but without DE you’re not getting much out of them.

Please allow me to ask you some question about the build. Why do you have clone death traits, Crippling Dissipation and Debilitating Dissipation, when you don’t have enough clone generation(like Deceptive Evasion)?
Beside that, Can I run Bountiful Interruption instead of Chaotic Dampening since I have Chaos Storm and Magic Bullet. Also, can I use Mantra of Recovery instead of Mirror then replace Mantra of Concentration by Decoy. Is that okay?

I do not always mantra spells. In some situations, especially in large groups of enemies, I use clone spells. To get away, for defense or to irritate enemies. For more scouting jobs, more stealthy spells, for sneaking things.
So, I change regularly the spells, not in any situation you need the same spells. But the bassist remains the same.

You still haven’t explained how this is supposed to be a PU build…. Let alone made a lot of sense of your choices…

You know what they say; you can take the bass away from the bassist, but you can never get the bassist out of the bass.

Not everyone speaks English well. In my country, we call it: Pidgin English ( steenkolenengels) Most Dutch people are bad in English I am trying it, what wrong and good is no idea.

Problem solved. We call it no longer a PU composition. Everyone has a different way about it. PU Mesmer in my guild: 4/4/6/0/0 or 0/4/6/4/0. With lots of invisibility spells, with conditioning status or berzerker armor, weapons and rings. With staff, sword and torch. Around this status: 2,200 power/2,600 armor/ 1,650 hp/ 40 % critical chance/ and 6/8 sec stealthy

The link you posted doesn’t have a x/x/6/x/x setup. Pretty sure you used the website wrong. You need to click buildcode and copy what’s created in the box.

You posted a build that is 6/4/4/0/0 with staff and sword+focus.

Uh-oh, looks like the whole board got hit with 25 stacks of Confusion. :o
