PvE Chronomancer build
Personally I run Ill/Du/Chr full glass and I don’t really go down.
Ignore the stats, I run full Assassins except what can’t (Backpack and Amulet). I run Sigil of Energy on Mainhand sword for survivability. Second sigil is currently Accuracy but is useless with my stat setup.
You don’t need to run Pistol, I just prefer the speed of the interrupt, along with the ranged Phantasm against certain mobs (paired with 100% crit chance it’s a good amount of bleeds). I swap to Sword offhand very, very often. It’s whatever I feel like. Rarely I’ll swap to Greatsword here.
Sword Shield is very safe, you have the double interrupt on 5, double blocks on 4 (you can easily run into telegraphed attacks to gain another 2s of block, especially the ground effects in Maguuma) and Blurred Frenzy. If you’re still in trouble, use Distortion and your other defensive abilities will be up again. Don’t forget to get 8 wells out when you’re in a pinch or fighting a large group. Start with Elite and work your way down to Heal. When you’re out of CS, repeat but with only wells and not Elite. I use my heal last because then the final pulse happens a bit after the Shift ends which gives me time to reposition if I get pushed away at the end.
Other than that, you have a lot of dodges and you can get easy clone generation with DE + Alacrity (for Leap/Swap).
You could probably get more damage running Dom over Duel, but that bonus crit chance and clone generation is really nice. Just be careful of overriding Phants (worst case scenario, just spam Shatters to use up Chronophantasma, once you get the hang of it, the generation becomes second nature).
I run almost the same as the first build you posted. I am thinking of swapping domination out for inspiration though for soms survivability. I dont recommend getting different gear, it’s better to just change your specializations. Also, you might want to check out rune of the chronomancer instead of rune of the mesmer
I’ve currently been running a shatter/condi build in HoT and have been loving it. It looks a little something like this
I’d welcome feedback on it if anyone has any, especially on runes/sigils. I’ve been pumping out nice damage and really enjoying the play style. Mostly use the scepter/shield, but swap to staff for defensive/more aoe needs.

If you’re going full hybrid, adventurer isn’t bad because it’s offensive and has defensive built in.
Honestly, I would play around with on-elite-use runes because with CS it’s basically once ever 45-ish (if you maintain max alacrity).
For your traits, just keep in mind that evasive mirror can be useful in some scenarios. Time Catches Up seems useless in my opinion since your illusion gen is going to be close-combat and even if it’s far it’s not a big deal to wait a moment longer.
If you’re running a Scepter anyways, I much prefer Malicious Sorcery over Ineptitude since it lets you pump out your Scepter rotation faster (which is going to be invaluable considering how much you’re casting as a Chrono).
And lastly, Blink is unnecessary in HoT because of Time Marches On and Masteries.
Hey, nice build
My PvE guild have this build for Chronomancer: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vhAQRAsd8cnsICtqhtfCGpBUrhFVjiMAGhirsDKhBoOZn2rF-TRCBABGqfYU1QqU1jzUCilyDAeCAFt/QZKxC4kAEA4A43+23+Gs+6rv+6r3v/+7v/+bpA0TkF-e
Very high DPS

Mesmer and Chronomancer have to retrait and change skills and weapons all the time to adapt to situations and be strong. A single build won’t be able to be “the best” all the time.
If you really are that lazy and want a single build for every situation, you’ll be forced to take inspiration for focus trait, duelling for mantra trait and chrono for … well chrono. But you will be forced to change your skills and weapons.

Just pm me for my advice! Always eager to help!”

^ Pretty much
If I had to pick a lazy build of sort it would looks something like this
If you really want to excel at the class I would highly highly recommend having multiple builds at your disposal. At the very least you need two: one for high damage and offensive support while keeping on reserve a build for reflects and more defensive support.
And lastly, Blink is unnecessary in HoT because of Time Marches On and Masteries.
I have to disagree with that. Blink still speeds up travel-time; for example if you died during a big event and need to run back. Also, it’s a stunbreak and gets you out of danger at the same time, which can be really helpful, considering how much cc and/or long-lasting AoE some of the mobs/bosses in HoT have.

Sorry, Yeah I am using chronomancer runes. They aren’t on the site yet, so i subbed in mesmer runes.

That’s a good build. the same thing I posted, almost . However: Chronomancer is more a DPS type, Hybrid berserker whit assassin looks the best for Chronomancer

Time Marches On gives me enough movement to get back to a fight. For stunbreaks, just make sure you alwyas have your Leap out and don’t use Swap. With the new changes to AI Pets, your Clone won’t die. With Alacrity, your Leap is off cooldown when Swap expires.
The undocumented Stunbreak got removed from iLeap/Swap.

That, and also that would have to be about the most impractical and unreliable stunbreak ever; aside maybe from fighting a single low-level mob or so, where you likely wouldn’t need it in the first place.
And ya, I prefer to be back to the fight asap. Blink makes it happen. I even burn my heal on the way there since I’m still using centaur runes (didn’t decide on a new runeset yet; might go for pack).
Edit: I also don’t see myself melee-ing legendary wyverns and stuff, so iLeap again wouldn’t be of any use.
