why don’t top mesmers use mind wrack has a 10% higher to crit, over 3% more damage vs illussions.

I am guessing better average damage in a duel?

In high end tournament pvp you spend alot of time auto attacking with the greatsword, which is higher dps than your burst. Burst is just for pressuring revives/getting low targets etc.

Also, the damage % increase actually affects mind wrack! 9% for your own, for first illusion, 6% for the second and 3% for the last.

TL;DR: conpoundibg power is better in spvp(unless someone can explain otherwise)
edit: theres also he function to ask a question when you create a thread. Try using that so its more apparrent to people you have a question.

Also, compounding power affects the damage from shatters.

I think (but I’m not sure) that the first clone will shatter for 9% additional damage, the second for 6%, and the last for 3%. Also, the first clone to shatter does the most damage, there are diminishing returns after that.

So when you combine the increased damage for regular attacks, combined with the increased shatter damage the effect is considered greater than the 10% crit chance.
