Are Mesmers allowed to set up Portals by NPCs and other interactable objects, or is this considered a reportable game violation?

The Portal has a graphic effect, so players should know to check whether or not they’re about to talk to the NPC before they hit the Keyboard key.

(And spamming “For Great Justice!” in town all day seems to be allowed…)

Lol, there’s no rule against it afaik. Lighten up. Report if you want, but too many false reports are a no no I think.

Very few people do this in my experience.

Mesmers are trolls by nature I think, we al try supress it more or less, but just thef act our class is based on trick ppl say it all. Another winner (did this by mistake towards my guildmates…) Is drop a portal on horrible place aka in enemy lines, then find a friendly player downed, drop a entrance portal on him (in my case missclick). Al trying to res him now get ported to named horrible place (and if its your guildmates you can fraps the TS discussion and flaming of osicat).

I find it very, very “odd” that 3 out of 4 people have reacted as such, considering how:
1. I play Mesmer and love it.
2. I created another thread on this board to ask for help with my build.
3. I don’t feel that what I’ve said has implied that I was upset.

All I was asking was:

Can I play around with Portal and be banned for it because another player got offended? Has there been cases of Mesmers being infracted for this activity?

Yet only one of four posts has contributed to discussion, and none of them have directly addressed my question. I wouldn’t normally speak up like this, but it does actually disturb me that, no offence, it seems like some people who don’t really read Mesmer threads have all jumped on me because I brought up something that may or may not be a sensitive issue. (Sorry, I haven’t played long enough to know what’s a super-serious topic and what isn’t.)

I don’t find what I’ve posting in this thread to be walloftext or tl;dr-worthy, but I’ll add a tl;dr if it’s needed.
