Torment or not, I won’t use scepter anyway. It’s just awful.

Clone Death traits nerfed! Now they won’t be unblockable or immune to blind!

Debiliting Dissipation loses a stack of bleed!

PU gives swiftness and might as its RNG pool now! NERRF YUS!

Loss of bleed is tough, but the others seem fair. I actually thought the clone death traits could be blocked and blinded.

Kicked the PU crutch right out I’d say. Gonna see builds open up now. Viability??? Maybe not so much. Gotta se how the scepter works. If its nasty then the condi shatter scepter/torch-staff shatter mesmers with IE are gonna be a handful

so they nerf the dmg of the DD trait by around 140*7 =980 dmg for each clone death (in 33% chance) so 340 dmg nerf in average while adding the ability to miss by dodge/blind/block

so if you might PU and you want to kill the clones and burst the mesmer you can use

as thief – stealth to aoe blind and kill them
as guardian – block and kill them

etc

might be that pu will have more hard time now to do dmg but will have the same abilities to stay alive

so a 1/3ish damage loss on 1/3 of a trait. w/e..

who cares about the death trait when youu have TTORMENTT .. member the 20 pages of peopl crying about how op torment is. now people cant play pu because they lose 1 stack of bleed.. even though they get torment auto attack..

Proof that these posts were made by the same people?

it isnt the same people.. it is the mesmer community. some cry about one thing some cry about another. if the torment change isnt as fantastic as everyones psychic prediction then the mesmer communty just complained itself into a blanket nerf that didnt even touch the torment on auto attack instead of just waiting and testing. i think mesmers were just shocked that it was the only patch that we didnt get nerfed .. so we couldnt let that happen.

ya. torment is staying.. so pages and pages of complaints on this didnt change a thing about torment.. it just got us blanket nerfed. so next patch if we get any kind of buff i have some advice….. shuuuuu thekittenuuuuu…

On last count, according to Chao’s thread, it was 1 for 1 complaints to support.

Either way, players generally gave bad arguments for their reaction. See Helseth and his clones as a prime example.

Anyway enjoy your patch condition mesmers. I’m going to go back to crying about how bad and underwhelming the necromancer changes were. While mesmer was arguably in just a bad state as necros were, your patch will have fixed almost all of your problems in pvp/wvw. MY class is still broken and awful for kittening PvE, low tier in pvp, and only somehwat viable in zerging. Enjoy your day mesmers, you have earned this respite.

I aint even mad. Whatever nerfs we have, us mesmers can still give other classes something to whine about.
