So far I haven’t had any success taking down the Vale Guardian, and I’m looking for some room for improvement

I could really use some tips, perhaps setup changes (Not sure about Elite for example) or anything really that’d help me take him down. I usually melee him and trying to keep up as high of a DPS as I can, while relying on Phantasms to keep DPS while I can’t, and still Shattering when I can get the full benefit of the shatter .
Could prob use some tips or tricks, I feel like Mesmer has a really high skill cup and I’m barely using half of it’s potential. For example, I often find myself not using Continuum Split at all, since I Just can’t think about a use for it in the middle of the fight …

I’m sure I have lots of room to improve, and I need some help to push higher here .

The general consensus here is that mesmer provides the least dps, and should contribute to the raid by providing alacrity/quickness instead.

I strongly recommend taking illusions + timewarp with chrono. With continuum split, Time Warp effectively becomes a 76 second base cd skill (don’t cast Time Warp while not in Consortium Split, unless you’re in the final phase of the fight).

I’ll second the above, and specify: Quickness is a tremendous boon. Bring Well of Action and Time Warp (read the mechanics on stacking so you don’t waste it).

The Illusions traitline should bring more to the table than either Domination or Dueling. Take one or the other (Domination comes out slightly ahead for damage).

Greatsword is suboptimal for this. You are more effective in melee range. Someone else is better suited for running to circles and knocking back adds.

If you are using focus, it’s actually not a bad way to move the seekers out of the way of the circles, etc. Now, if they are telling you to use GS #5 to knock them away…then no.
