Which weapon is best? and which traits should i go with? im using staff and GS…., like greatsword……but seems the illusion abilitys have to long of a cooldown compared to staff, still learning mesmer, love the class, just need some advice.

gs is best for ranged shatter. illusion summoning cooldowns are shorter on gs, and gs illusions both spawn on your target rather than near you, this makes shatters more likely to hit.

Ranged isn’t super recommended for a shatter build though since Illusion Persona requires you to be at close range.
