I didn’t get far enough to dive into the mechanics or alacrity. Did these new nerfs just bone me completely? Do I jump ship? New char? I was really looking forward to chrono and had just gotten bored of shatter but it looks like the smoke cleared from the battlefield and that’s all that’s left.

Do you raid PvE? If so, discuss it with your raid group.

Do you play WvW? Probably should jump ship, but not necessarily.

Too far… but yeah. Mine as well pick something else. Even the best players struggle with mes now and they’re bs-ing if they say otherwise.

We’re still feeling pretty burned at the moment, for most of us, I imagine it will pass. For what it’s worth, joking and current-hard-feelings aside, I’d definitely recommend taking chrono for a ride. We’re still a fun class with fun mechanics, for all of our imposed weakness.

And hey, there’s always hope for the future, right?

but there’s no water in pvp modes

Despite nerf you still could play mesmer (interrupt, condi, shatter, phantasm) at low pvp (or pve) level.
It’s not meta but I don’t think that it’s ineffective.

Oh, of course. I have relegated my mesmer to do the pve dailies and help in jumping puzzles. It’s still effective there… What happiness!
