Restorative Illusions in sPvP and tPvP
It may have a range, meaning you need to be within a certain range of your shattered illusions. Test that, if not it might be such a minor heal that you barely notice it. Wiki states that, " Heals for 0.2 * (Healing Power) + 1064" and “Each illusion adds a small amount to the total health gained” Which implies that the heal is only going to be around ~1100-1200 base since it is based per shatter and not too greatly on the number of clones.

It heals for about 1000 health as soon as you hit the shatter for 3 clones if i remember correctly. It was working for me in spvp. This was a few months ago
Wait so healing mantras, a 20 point trait, heals for like 2500, but a 30 point trait that requires you lose your clones only does 1000 if you have all illusions out? Who takes this trait and for what purpose, anywhere?!
It’s more effective with Illusionary Persona, but otherwise its a complete dud.
You’d probably get more effect from the Phantasms give regen trait.

And that would be why my insp based phantasm spec did not last very long lol. I think it should be 1000-1200 per clone minimum, but im not anet so i cant help you out =(
Honestly i think a mantra spec would be better, since it heals for more, AND heals your party on top of that. I was thinking of trying an all out mantra resto spec if we ever run into content that would be improved with lots o heals

I’ve tried various specs using inspiration. The only viable one was the one that used the of the Forge runes from the patch before they were nerfed. It wasn’t even that good—people could just push you off the node because mesmers have no stability outside of random buffs or the mantra which gives you 2 charges of a lousy 2.5 sec on a 25 sec cd and a 3 sec charge time. Who the hell uses mantra of concentration? It’s not even long enough to get a new mantra cast off! It was decent in beta with the 1 use and longer uptime of stability. But 2.5 seconds is obviously overlooked. Why would anyone take that over say blink or decoy?
I am speaking only for s and t pvp. Mesmers are pretty much stuck with burst builds until the others are viable and can hold up. I mean, if I make a survivability build and can’t survive any longer AND not kill people, why can guardians do that? Their bunker build out damages my survive build and wins…
the healing is a joke, don’t bother for something like that which req30 point. For this to be half useful it should heal for 2.5k hp anything under is a nono

It’s arguably much better than mantra of pain for a bunker build. Mantra uses are instant cast, so they can be done during channeled actions. You can use it during a stomp or revive the way people use instant blinds on reaction to preserve stomps. It’s also two/three stunbreaks in one slot, which is pretty great. Boon duration stacking could get you even further.
By comparison 3s of stability on an instant is a 30 point trait for Necromancers.
It’s sort of like Mantra of Distraction in that it’s high skillcap but potentially pretty strong with traits.

It’s a good point, I guess. I haven’t seen many awesome mesmer bunker builds even though on paper it looks like it should be very possible to do. Plentiful stunbreaks, invulnerability, reflection, clones, mantra heals all fit in one build with 2 utility slots left over.
And I dunno if people have experimented, but the actual scaling +heal on mantra of restoration is actually pretty good compared to our main heal (x1.2) when you compare what a dump of a 3x heal mantra would be. The downside is, of course, the channel.
Edit: Off the top of my head, this build seems like if played correctly would be nigh unkillable and the phantasms would be really obnoxious to kill: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fgAQNAsfRl4zyonSTqGZ9IxpHQ35PHVhuT6hpf9qB;TgAgzCvoMyYkwIrROjkGB
