For the purpose of tagging enemies, does retaliation granted to allies tag enemies for the granter.

Person A puts retaliation on Friendly B, enemy attacks Friendly B proccing retaliation. Person B tags enemy via retaliation, but does person A?

The buffs will reference you, but you will not get credit for anything that player does.

Retaliation is a personal boon. Just because you gave it to someone else doesn’t mean that the damage from it now is yours. If someone shoots through an eth combo field and applies confusion, you don’t get that damage just because it was your combo field.

I hear what you’re saying though your example is combo fields, which isnt a direct correlation. Signit of inspiration, for example, will transfer boons. I’ve seen some buffs that reference their source (player), thus the question.

yup, i play a build that gives retaliation to others, but I only get credit for the damage that my retaliation does. you should still be able to tag some guys in that sort of build. until Arenanet fixes this, altruistic builds will have to just relly on smug satisfaction that the team needs you, rather than loot and experience to keep them going.
