Hey all,

Trying to get a WvW roaming duo together and was wondering which class as a mesmer would provide the most burst/survivability to pick off small groups.
Mesmer/Mesmer?
Mesmer/Thief?
Mesmer/Someone else?

Depends on the kind of mesmer you play. If you’re glass, then you want a guard or warrior who can be the “diversion”. If you’re playing tanky, then a thief would be nice for faster DPS.

If you and a thief both play glass cannon. You’ll probably be the first one down due to the fact that you have less invisibility in comparison.

I find that PU mesmer and burst thief combo together really wonderfully. You can sorta make a nice mess of things as a PU mesmer, and people will focus on you. Every now and then, your burst thief will just delete someone. It works quite nicely.

Personally, I think I’d want to be besties with a medi guardian who has the various teleport skills and also that bubble ring thing that people tend to get stuck in it. Because the guard hits hard, can draw quite a bit of attention away from me, and will love me forever because I have Mass Invis.

Thief hands down. No other class comes even close for wvw roaming.

Go lockdown, take a kshot warrior, do it for kittenz and giggles.

If I roam mtd shatter I’ll take w/e maybe prefer a ele. If I’m roaming power shatter, thief hands down, Insane burst dps > All.

edit: Let me put it this way, a competent thief and a competent mesmer together make an incredible roaming duo. High mobility, high burst, it will wreck small teams all day.

mesmer+thief always just dont try to go head to head versus zerg but take the back line

with mesmer no matter what build power or condi (but not pu)

Take camps, towers and they will have to fight to stop you.
