Is it gonna affect PvE/WvW or how blink performs in general outside of PvP?
We will have to wait and see (unless some of you has good contacts to china).
From my take, it looks like you can, after the patch, spam Blink onto unreachable locations without getting on cooldown. Only if the Blink actually works, it is going on cooldown.
It will most likely – you won’t be able to blink vertical at, lets say the cliff side fotm. But I like it, cuz it was indeed broken. However they should fix normal blinks then, like Nifelhel the mid point, where you simply can’t blink up for some reason, yet thieves can. And in PvE? Gosh sometimes you can’t even blink on open fields and stop at a random rock …
From what I know, Blink works as a tile radius wherein any spot is accessible as long as the “walking path” is visible and within a 1200 range. Take for example the Airship access using the airship pass, when you use blink on the stairs from below you will be able to get up since there is a clear path and the tile range is within 1200 (traited). My worry is they might take this away. I could care less on nerfing the actual “broken” spots.
