Rune set for Chronomancer
I’m fully expecting HoT to include new rune types for Wells, Shouts, etc., so I’m kind of reserving judgment on Chronomancer runes until we see what those are.

I agree. There will likely be runes connected to certain skill types. However, profession “specific” runes atm don’t benefit directly from certain skill types but support a certain concept of a profession. So I find it very likely, and would welcome it, that Chronomancer runes will be connected to either slow, quickness or alacrity. I would love to see something like this:
Superior rune of the Chronomancer:
- +25 Precision
- +10% Slow duration
- +50 Precision
- +15% Slow duration
- +100 Precision
- +20% Slow duration, when using a healing skill, nearby allies gain 2 sec of Quickness (ICD: 10 secs)
I like the idea of giving slow duration but not actually applying the slow condition by itself. Thus it limits the use of the rune set very much to the Chronomancer.
I do not believe that any rune set will grant alacrity. Robert Gee has stated that they will be very careful with alacrity, because it is very powerful. Thus, granting the buff through rune sets would kinda take the control away.
I also removed the passive quickness. I don’t believe gaining passively random quickness will be very useful.
My version of the rune set would be very useful to a Mantra focused Chronomancer interupt build (maybe it is too well cut out for that). It lets you recharge mantras very fast, synegizes with the healing mantra and makes slow application from interrupts or critical hits immensely strong.
Chronomancy works, I am proof of it. Now stop asking me questions. Time must be preserved!
Conceptually, it should make Slow on you less bad and Quickness on you stronger.
Say:
1. +25 Toughness
2. Slow on you is 5% less powerful.
3. +50 Toughness
4. Quickness on you is 5% more powerful.
5. +100 Toughness
6. When you have Quickness and Slow applied to you, Slow duration is decreased by 50%.
