Runes of Strength and Trait Lines
I wanted to know which trait line benefits more from Strength Runes. This means might up keep. In illusions we have a trait which gives us 1 might stack per shatter, and in chaos we’re given a trait with gives us 5 might stacks per interrupt.
I would like to know if they are an overall good investment for mesmers, especially with the upcoming chronomancer trait line.
If you look down 2 from the interrupt trait, you’ll find that Bountiful Disillusionment gives 3 might on mind wrack. You’ll also notice that BD’s might stacks are 15s duration, vs 10s from Chaotic Interruption, so it’s not that much less. Which is better depends more on how often you interrupt (and how much you like Stability).
You can also get some might from Imagined Burden (greatsword GM), but it’s really not a great fit.
Signet of Inspiration adds a random boon every 10s, there’s about a 1/8 chance it’ll be might (so, it’s probably not gonna happen when you want it to).
That’s pretty much it.
So the long duration of might upkeep on mesmer doesn’t look as promising as I thought. Maybe for a short while for a few bursts but after that it’ll probably just be an up keep of 3-5 stacks.
