Hey everyone,

These are two hot-join and tpvp builds which are very unique in their abilities, have a browse through it. The Corrupt Builds have undergone major changes, take a look!

Corrupt Support Build (updated for april patch)
The focus of this build is a condi/support build for tpvp (organized and solo) as well as hot-join. The basic concept is high condition spread and damage, coupled with high boon duration for your team support.

20 Dueling
Mantra Mastery to get your mantra’s up more frequently, giving more healing and condi removal on you thanks to menders purity.
Deceptive Evasion for clone up-time as this build needs them to spread condi’s.

30 Chaos
Debilitating Dissipation for aoe condi’s, self explanatory.
Choatic Dampening there so staff skills recharge faster, handy for chaos storm and so on. But a minor trait here is really important. Illusionary Membrane grants 3s of stability every 15s if I have regeneration which I will because of Phantasmal Healing (Inspiration minor trait) or staff skills ect. You can swap in signet of inspiration to shared with allies as well making it really handy. A further 10 into this traitline will get you chaotic dampening, using your chaos storm and daze shatter will get you far here.

20 Inspiration
Mender’s Purity for the condi removal, works well with mantra heal.
Lastly Restorative Mantra’s for the healing of my allies, just another support aspect of this build.

(Just like to point out here that taking 10 out of chaos and placing it into dom for aoe cripple on clone death also works extremely well, I just like utilizing my daze shatter and chaos storm in large fights in pvp)

Play-style and Purpose
-This build is a great aoe condition spread. Staff and clone death work well, with mantra’s, high boon uptime, condi removal being the support aspect. Currently mid point with a large crowd works the best. More people gaining from your support and more enemy’s loving the conditions.
-Keep your illusions up, they are a big part of this builds offensive, staff clones can also apply conditions so use them wisely. Phantasms apply regen so use them too.
-Mantra’s are good with stealth to recharge them so torch works well.
-Keeping in mind that stealth will de-cap the point so make sure your with someone else or using the stealth tactically.
-Etheral fields work a treat for chaos armor on your team. Use chaos storm then torch #4 in a large fight for mass chaos armor.
-In hot join use mantra of concentration for easy stomping for you and your team mates.

Gear
PVP
For pvp however use a rabid amulet for toughness and condition damage. Also a mixture of runes for healing and boon duration, 6 water. These are flexible however because their are so many great combo’s of boon duration runes.

Weapons
-I chose staff for the support and conditions, great for the purpose of this build. I have found scepter works great if you feel you want some more condi out of the build. -Torch for aoe condi on the Prestige and stealth for recharging mantra’s.
-Sigils are loose, I chose a corruption sigil so the build could have a nice round 1000 condi damage number.
-Energy on torch and Battle for might (always handy).
-Swap torch for focus for more out of your chaotic dampening.

Corrupt Interrupt Mesmer (updated for april patch)

This build here is the second corrupt build which is the interrupt/cc build. If you are going to try this out be warned this one is a lot harder to play and get used to compared to my other corrupt build. However if you are patient you will get it.

Purpose and Playstyle
-It involves a focus because the more pressure you put on point or the less time your enemy spends on it will mean the more time you have to cap it. Warden gives high damage in small area and keeps me and allies safe from projectiles as well.
-Keep sword for the evade, your going to need it.
-Another aspect of this build is you high condi uptime with staff. Condi duration has replaced healing power due to healing power being a weak stat compared to condi duration.(50% condi duration)
- Shatters and also interrupt traits are a major part of this build for damage and support.
-In a zerg infested hot-join match your chaos storm is insane.
-Use your focus pull on a large group of enemy’s to disorientate them.

Gear and Traits

30 Domination
Crippling dissipation for the cc it provides, as you may find in large fights clones can can killed before a daze or mind wrack shatter can be let off and this trait allows it not to go unpunished . Confounding to spice things up and add that little extra reward for dazing, also makes it much easier to fight and target a stunned player. Mental torment/halting strike both work in this slot to add more damage to the fight. The traits in this line either way synergize extremely well with each other.

20 Dueling
Mantra Mastery for more rapid dazes and DE for clone generation.

10 Inspiration
Shatter for vigor is always good for clone generation, which in turn is used for fueling all your shatter skills (i.e daze for interrupts). However phantasm health and glamour cooldown both work here as well.

10 Illusions
Blind at glamour locations is awesome for your nullfields in large fights and portals for quick getaways/re-positioning.

Pvp: Runes are mixed for condi uptime, 6 nightmare. Amulet is Berserkers for power on your interrupts and shatters. Sigils are bloodlust, hydromancy, agony and venom.

Focus: Pull for interrupts and getting people off the point. Warden for reflection of projectiles.
Staff:Chaos storm is amazing for interrupts and conditions.
Sword: Evade is great and for closing the gap for a daze/shatter (long immob time).

Swap out your +10% sigil of smouldering. At just 10% its not enough to grant you another tick of burning on anything. Id suggest another hydromancy or perhaps doom. Or Superior battle for +3 might stacks for boon share. Anything else really.

Was trying the interrupt build, the new one, and it worked great. It was sooo much fun and the healing power was great with the phants. Got a few angry whispers from people saying that the build was OP, :P .
Maybe you should post it in the lock down builds thread that I have seen floating around.

This has probably been posted before but this is a my build for PvE and (Story)Dungeoneering: Basically ‘zerker gear. Runes of the Traveller for mobility. Staff and Sword/Focus. Have a Greatsword in bags for ranged fights (Like for Golem and Door Guard in CM Story ((Don’t salvage it >.>)).

Traits: 6 in Chaos with IV, X (for survivability) and XII (Because sometimes you cloak peeps.)
4 in Inspiration with II (for Feedback and Null Field) and X (for the two mantras; handy for group healing)
4 in Illusions with VI (for the fields) and IX (for the blinds)

Healing Mantra, Feedback, Null Field and Mantra of Resolve (which can be swapped when needed)

Basically: You can pull by charging into combat, with staff out, press 2 and then drop a bunch of clones (press 3, 4 and drop 5) then get in close and swap to Sword/Focus.

Staff 2 will generally get you out of stuns or bad situations. Sword 2 will evade you and does nasty things to groups in range. Focus 5 is nice for groups too, and 4 can speed you and your buddies, slow pesky enemies and cause mayhem if you randomly press 4 again (trick: put it near a wall, then they all slide into the wall).

As you channel and complete mantras, you heal yourself and your buddies. Mantra of Recovery is your personal heal. Mantra of Resolve is great for removing conditions on your group and yourself. Resolve is especially handy in TA Story, among others.

Feedback is great to pop on Snipers, Archers and the other ranged enemies everyone forgets. They can then shoot themselves! It also works if you’re within the field and an enemy is shooting at you. Since it’s a glamour spell, your talents mean that enemies in it are blinded and confused, so pop it over melee groups too. Null field produces the same blind/confusion effect, and adds extra condition removal for your team.

I find this build to be quite the workhorse in groups. My survivability is impressive. With the traveller runes, my boon duration is longer and I have far more mobility which equates to even more survivability. It is a consistent movement increase rather than relying on Focus 4 for speed, which will run out.

The DPS is not too bad, but your role is to assist the team and help keep them cleansed, buffed and rolling as well as providing support. It’s best if the team can stay within your fields, but this can’t always be the case.

I’ve yet to run Arah as a Mes, but the theory of extra length and boons on cloaking should work well here too and in any other situations requiring portals and cloaking. Hope you enjoy!

Okay I’m not sure how to answer this, but I’ll do my best.
Since I can’t remember the last time I ran a dungeon I’ll be speaking strictly in terms of general building.

Firstly boon duration is an interesting aspect of a build. It can be used to sustain you,
or support others. Supporting others in your team/party requires boon spread and duration. I would suggest 2 methods, (staff clone – DE) or Signet of inspiration. Of course you need to consider AOE damage in the game and adjusting accordingly. PU as we know has decent ability in sustaining good boons for support (aegis+prot), however its use in dungeons is questionable. The first build in this thread is focused on condi spread + boon spread which actually has some decent might stacking abilities that I’ve noticed lately (it’s something I’m looking into)
You might also want to look into condi duration like the second build in this thread and explore its uses for your blinds and other things.

Your builds effectiveness in dungeons is something I’ll leave up to someone else though.

Its nice to see the others using boon duration.
