Ill be watching this thread to answer any questions or comments.

The way i use this build is great for solo and making great use of the blocks you get from both weapon sets. The other way to play this is 2v1 situation. Using your phantasms to kill the softer target while using your weapon attacks to keep pressure on the other guy when moa is down. Now this video is from when i first started playing but recently I have been using these tactics to much success.

Utilities:

Null Field: I find this one of the best Mesmer skills to use. Countering condition builds as well as denying guardians of their buffs.

Blink: Very situational. I tend to save this for pw/100b haste builds. Other uses have been from a knockback when a player is down. Blinking to them to get a quicker stake.

Decoy: Nothing makes the mesmer stronger then breaking target locks. Also a useful escape mechanism.

Sigils:

Air: You crit quite often with this build. Extra damage is always nice.
Bloodlust: I love this sigil on damage builds. You get 10 power per stack. 25 = 250 (for those who cant do math. What the sigil doesnt say is for every kill, including chieftan and svanir, you get five stacks.

Rune:

Orge: Rockdog adds nice dps. But this is your FOTM choice.

I would love to see your build but that simulator is a PoS — not watching video spam just to see your build.

Part of me thinks that someone in ANet was thinking “hey, wanna see something funny? Watch this…”

You might want to consider “Blade Training” over “Retaliatory Shield” (Dueling T2), and “Masterful Reflection” over “Compounding Power” (Illusions T1). I think the two synergize well. Maybe skip “Masterful Reflection” because it would replace your +3% dmg per illusion which is pretty nice, but I’d definitely pick up Blade Training with your play style — that’s 20% more distortion and 20% more blocking.

Since Blade Training is an Adept lvl trait, you could drop your phantasm buff in Dueling T1 for Blade Training, drop 5 points from Dueling (wash when using the sword with Blade Training) and put the 5 points into the Toughness line to pick up a T1 adept there (maybe 3% dmg reduction per illusion).

I’ll try it out. Its hard to drop the fury on phantasms though :|
