Scepter #2 and Sword #4 suggestion

That’s not a fix. You can’t really be too lazy to actually cast the skill a second time come on…
The way it is right now is perfect.
Unless you mean the block effects. The block effects of both of them are too strong to just be able to apply them on targets without much counterplay.
The skills are fine as they are.
I agree these skills are fine as they are…The trick is to know when you want to blind/interrupt or block based on what you are facing as opponents or foes
The only thing why i am askinh this is not because ig lazyness its because if you want as much block duration as possible and activate the skill in the last second it doesnt activate. If you didnt block an attack it would be fitting if there is an activation on the end of the channel time or at least some duration after the channel (0.5 s) so you didnt miss the hit.

you can activate them for 2nd part of “spell” if you did not block anything right away after first cast … if you block you will summon clone .. there is nothing to fix those mechanics are great ..

If you didnt want it fine i just thought mesmer could benefit from it thats all.
It just felt weird that nothing happend after the block duration in contrats to other 1 hit block skills.

- Channeled block fires at end of channel. Attack is a ranged projectile and enemy has activated a reflect. You now have to find a way to cancel the secondary attack XD
- Sword 4 end of channel activates landing a daze on a target with a 3 second stun. Stun is replaced with your kittenty daze.

Thats some explanation i can get behind (i think more about PvE than PvP) . But how about some boon instead? Maybe some protection, aegis or something else defense oriented?

That’s a balance concern. If you’re suggesting the skill is underpowered then sure. As it stands, you get the full channel of the channeled block to counter 1 incoming attack (plus the riposte effect). Should the enemy not attack because your block is up (or whatever) you still have the option to fire the active it at the last instance. Are you suggesting these skills first and second activations are underpowered and in need of a third effect for “if inactivated therefor-”? It’s possible to have such an effect, but you’ll have to provide the justification for such a balance change.

What I really would like to see is a bonus effect instead of a clone at 3 illusions just like scepter 1. It would be a major dps buff for Mes and Chrono to be able to block without losing a phantasm. I wondered why this never happened after scepter 1 fix.

I’m betting it wasn’t fixed because they don’t expect us to be camping 3 phantasms during a fight. Most fights never last long enough to get 3 out, and of the ones that do they probably are expecting us to make use of our shatters more, so they didn’t envision this as actually being a problem.

Like I said, they probably don’t expect us to not be using shatters often. They more than likely want mesmers to be shattering frequently. Just because the mechanic is designed in such a way that hurts our class seems to be irrelevant to them
