First rule: Ignore all tooltips.

Anyway, last time I used scepter (arguably about 2 months ago) it did apply confusion, however the scepter auto chain is bugged horribly as it attacks faster or slower depending on how close you are, so maybe if you are further away the coding forgets the condition? Test if it is applied at melee range and at 800 units away.

Scepter applied confusion back in the first beta weekend iirc, and it has not done so since then. The tooltip has never changed.

Yep, another case of not having attention to those little details. It’s not really fair to mislead players with vague/incorrect tooltips and let them go unchanged for so long. It bugs me too because I’m a scepter user and would love for the third attack to apply confusion like it says.

It didn’t inflict confusion two months ago, or even six months ago. You probably had the Dueling trait which applies confusion when a clone dies.

There are many skill and trait tooltips in this game that are completely misleading or just straight up incorrect. When this game came out there were tons of skills with misleading tooltips.

scepter #1 is not working properly for almost any profession.
