I mainly WvW but late last night I went to Southsun Cove for a look around. Happily, Greatsword and Feedback killed the Young Karka quite nicely.

Then I blew the dust off my scepter just to see what would happen.

I put Warden out to start (more for timing than anything else) and hit Confusing Images just as the karka started to spit = dead karka in 3 seconds flat

I’ve never seen a lvl 80 mob die so fast.

The love for my scepter has been rekindled, later on I’m taking it out to dinner and then maybe to see a show :P

Nice, thanks for posting this.

Finally some fast-attacking mobs who hurt themselves with confusion damage. I no longer have to respec my condition-bunker Mesmer when I leave WvW to do some PvE.

Some of the mobs on the new island seem to swing MUCH faster than mobs in other areas. It’s made confusion a much more beastly condition.

In Orr, my Cry of Frustration most often only hits once before the condition wears off. In the new island, it’s almost always twice. Pair that with Feedback on the ranged volley from the Young Karkas and most of them die within 5 seconds. LOVE it!

The only bug I’ve been seeing is the Confusion caused on Clone Death doesn’t seem to spam the purple confusion number. I believe it still applies damage, I just don’t see the number. :-/

I, too, have return to dust off my scepter (and during the Lost Shores event, my friend got me a exotic scepter skin – Tsunami – that I really like!). I use similar build that Kelthien did, except swap last 5 points from Chaos to Illusions for extra might on shatter, so 0/25/20/0/25. Using scepter/pistol + sword/focus, I had fun in WvW and in dungeons (so far, AC, CoE, CM, and partial in FotM).

In Sea of Sorrows, I like how the enemies are attacking faster (reminds me of hard mode in GW1) and I believe that is why Anet modified our torch to prevent overpowering. I had fun overall during those events with this and am glad that I don’t have to respec to go into WvW and PvE. ^^
