Anyway, Sharper Images makes clones bleed on crit. Why is it giving that benefit to clones? As a matter of fact, why do clones apply normal conditions on auto-attack in the first place? You saw fit to reduce the outgoing damage of clones to almost nil, yet they apply full-blown conditions from their attacks. If you’re looking to change the condi meta, this is where you should start.

FYI this is why Greatsword is so overwhelmingly used in PvP. Clones just stack bleed on you @1200 range while the mesmer runs around like a chicken with its head cut off.

Flame on mesmer-only players, but this has got to change.

This is seriously the first time I’ve EVER seen anyone QQ about a condition mesmer. What else would our clone auto attacks be used for since, to your exact point, they do near zero damage? We have to trait for it and by the way, not all our clones apply damaging conditions on their auto attack, just staff. GS clones do nothing to you except bleed, IF we trait it and IF it procs a critical hit.

Please just equip some condition cleanses (like we all have to in this meta) and complain somewhere else.

Condi PU mesmers is one of the most common dueling specs atm, because it’s so strong.

Ah yes, while we’re at it let’s nerf Sharpened Edges and Rending Attacks. Heck, with your logic we may as well just delete necro from the game entirely.

Pretty sure this guy faced me in pvp, was running a bleed build, with greatsword, pistol, and scepter. LOL

OP clearly hasn’t experienced condition bursts from necros…
Full-blown conditions? They only apply BLEED on crit if they live long enough to do it.

Greatsword clones are inferior to staff clones for applying bleeds with this trait.

It used to be really good back in beta/release, it was a cheese build I used a lot for fun.

They nerfed it somehow, but I remember greatsword clones applying WAY more bleeds back then, probably faster attack speed.

The extra bleed/burn on staff clones makes up for the slower attacks though, they do more condi dps.
