Imbued Diversion: Diversion hits multiple targets

  • Number of targets: 5
  • Radius: 240

Boredom makes you bored and go over stuff… I saw some people using this trait, and testing it… My question as someone who did not play Mesmer that much compared to some of my other characters;

How does it compare to Illusionary Persona?

The radius seems to be reasonable – about the same as the blast radius of an untraited Necromancer staff – so you could potentially disrupt a lot of enemy members…

Did anyone try it (more than I did) and is able to tell me if it is worth the change?

Since they buffed MoD to be AoE, they should do the same with Diversion and make this default – and replace with a new trait.

As it is, IP is far superior.

I mean, the cooldown is pretty long – so it is not like you can AoE Interrupt that frequently with it

Thats why its not worthy of use, if This Trait could Reduce it CD by 6s per target hit i think it could be used, other way Persona is best option.

They should definitely make it an AoE. I really don’t understand why it’s not in the first place. The other shatters are, and I’ve played mesmer for like two weeks before I noticed Diversion wasn’t. I mean, the animation even looks like an AoE.

Only way this trait will see daylight is if it reduced Diversion CD to at least 25s.

Diversion should be AoE by default. Maybe, 3 targets cap. Then Imbued Diversion should increase that AoE capacity by another 3, improve radius or reduce cool-down. Only changes around these things would actually make the trait stand out as a REAL trait and accent interrupt/disable build. As of now it is almost a useless trait.

You can aoe daze with it. AoE interrupt is pure luck (outside of perhaps a group res attempt)

Yeah basic Diversion should be ~150 AoE with 3 targets, and the trait should add about 150-200 radius, +2 targets, and cut the CD by 25%.

Would be a step in the right direction at least, although I still don’t see it replacing IP…would make some more niche builds semi-viable perhaps, but that’s about the last thing we need currently. ;-)

Whoops, yea there is a fair difference between the two, sorry for that

I seemed to have no luck so far getting an AoE Daze off, not even when people are ressing… Am I unlucky or something? :<

Hmm, I normally check the boons first when trying to interrupt a res… Seems I just got unlucky =/
