[Shatter&Phantasm&Cond]MesmerGameplayWvW1vx#6
Wing that was excellent. I really enjoyed that. My favorite of all the ones you’ve uploaded. Great gameplay as usual. Keep it up; looking forward to the next one!
I’m a fairly new mesmer, and I love the class. Things like this give me something to work toward, and I greatly enjoyed watching this. Thanks for sharing!
And my Alter-Ego- Kyoryu Gold, Mesmer, Thundering Hero, wielder of the Legendary Meteorlogicus!
Thanks for watching and your replies! I really appreciate it =)
@Pandabear Thanks man, I am really glad to hear you enjoyed it
@Nabarue I am happy to hear that! Ye just keep practising, mesmer is a such a fun class! You’re welcome ^.^
I love your videos, and this one is simply outstanding.
Love the style with which you play.
Thanks for watching and you reply!
Thanks man I really appreciate it and it makes me very happy to hear! =)
Nice. I couldn’t stop laughing at guardian using tome on you. Another mistake i constantly see ppl do is razing when stealth thief or mesmer is around. I honestly feel sorry for GS/staff guards. Not sure they understand how bad that set up is against mesmers or thieves. My main for a long time was guard:)
Thanks for watching and you reply!

I do have a question regarding your shatter play which I’ve been scratching my head about for some time – how do you feel running with almost zero conditon removal?
I play a similar stealth shatter approach (well not recently – I have not played since february), although with different equipment, traits and staff instead of GS, and I would love to be able to swap mantra of recovery for veil – but there are times when it’s impossible to avoid taking a hit and get landed with a long duration poison or something… what do you do when/if this happens?
Thinking post patch of maybe sticking generosity sigls and maybe taking torch trait, but not having on demand access to clear poison or similar I find to be a disadvantage.
Do you ever get melted by conditions?
Thanks for watching and you reply!

I didn’t see his build but sure he has Mender’s purity or Torch skills traited. Plus as you can see he doesn’t have vids with fights against high cond nrcros or engys:)
@Ptolemy Thanks for watching and your reply! =)
Regarding my shatter build: I am not using any condition clear. However I got clips of condi necro/engi in my last vids and I still got clips of such fights saved but I think some of them are kinda boring to watch because I have to kite really lot.^^(Talking about shatter vs condi)
@Curunen Haha ye that’s just my mind set. I really hate to take a condition clear and “sacrifice” a utility slot for it. I prefer every skill I use over a condition remove. My typical shatter vs condi class approach is trying to get a fast burst if he still stands (what most of the time happens) I just have to kite a lot around, stay behind him and try to avoid everything he throws at me. Then my burst skills should be up again and I can go again. Ye it is of course a disadvantage and there are times I would really need a clear however I got used to playing without. There are times it gets really hard and times where I just get lucky I guess but most of the time I just make it work.
Ye of course I get melted by condis aswell but at these times I am already low and would be dead either way. ^.^
Thanks for the comments guys! =)
Ah, thank you – it is interesting to know that it is possible, albeit very hard in some situations, to go without condition removal.
I think I will stick with mantra of resolve for the time being, because I just don’t feel comfortable running without it at the moment, but I will see what happens after the patch next week.
I have been trying to refine my skills in shattering lately. I use sword-sword/greatsword with Decoy and Mirror Images in the utility slots. I do not normally carry a condition cleansing skills too and I do not have a fixed skill on my third utility slot. I do not use traited torch either (also because I prefer distracting my targets with clones rather than relying on stealth. Not saying stealth is not useful though: it is in the right situation but can do without under normal circumstances).
It is indeed a riskier build without condition removal: I do not mind having a bit of bleed or buring or poison, but chill really gets me since shatter build really rely on recharge speed on skills.
I used Mantra of Resolve once. But having to activate it every time I zoned into a story area annoyed me a little. It is nonetheless a good condition removal power. Recently I having been experimenting on Phantasmal Disenchanter instead. It removes conditions and can double up as a shatter fodder. On a 16 second cooldown (with Illusionists Celerity), it is not half bad. Just have to remember to let it does it job first before popping it.

thanks for posting easy!
I’ve posted your link in my guild forum to show the new players how to mesmer =P
I Easyface “Wing” i personally think that you are the top mesmer ever in gw2, i watched videos of Osicat, Sup Cutie and Lord Helseth, but i still think you’re so skilled that you hitted the max level of skill, just awesome!
One important question:
_ Why you use both F1 and F2 when you shatter? It seems to me that you cant exploit that shatter making the same clones doin both dmg and confusion if you press F1 and F2 in the same time, do you do it only for Illusionaru Persona?
R.I.P. my beloved Meh-Mer, the most hated class by ANET itself.
Winner of the first HxH 1v1 tournament! WOOT!
Hey Wing! I love watching Mesmer roaming videos, so thanks for uploading yours. Not a huge fan of commentarys myself, but I fully understand why people like em.
That said, I really like your newest one! Nice gameplay, exciting situations and some useful tips and tricks mixed in. Keep it up!
oh and…
Vorwärts, Kodasch!

Yeah chill can be nasty. Poison on long durations is the other one I personally hate, which is why I like to have one button to get rid of it if I can’t afford the time/health to let it wear off.
I tend to run with -condi duration food in wvw, and hoelbrak in pvp, along with MoR for when I need stuff gone, now (Cillit Bang ;D).
I was wondering about the idisenchanter – used to use it with a previous build, but stopped because of that issue of getting only one cleanse before popping.
I noticed generosity sigils have skyrocketed in price… shame as I was thinking of sticking one of these on the two handed weapon to give an additional string to the condition removal bow!
@Curunen Np. Ye it works but sometimes it is really annoying. For example yesterday I had to deal with 30 seconds of cripple while facing 3 condition thieves. =D
@Oh My God; I have actually never tried Phantasmal Disenchanter out myself^^ I think I gonna test this one the next time I am in the need of a condition remove =)
Ye chill sucks I know that feeling^^
@Hamster You are very welcome =) Thanks for watching and your comment! Thanks so much for sharing, I really appreciate it
@Mijo Thanks for watching and your reply! =) Ah man that is too kind of you to say (<3) but ye I have still have a lot of work to do and there is always room to improve Moreover I am kinda far from max skill level however thank you very much for your support!
Ye that doesn’t work, so I just use it as a little extra damage
@tetrodoxin Thanks for watching and leaving your comment! =) You are very welcome! Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it
ye kodash =P
30s of cripple!?
And 3 condition thieves?!
Where can I find the suicide button?
Just fight Baruch Bay…
Sry, I couldnt resist.
Back to topic, I´ve tried out PhantDisenchanter several times but it´s not reliable enough for me while roaming solo. If you get chased by a group and you need condition cleanse, MoR is far superior imho (doesnt fail due to blind, has no casttime…). But I would rly like to see someone using it effectivly in a shatter build because I like the concept of the skill.

@Curunen Haha ye was thinking the same thing^^ Even after I managed to get 1 down there are still 2 refuges ready. Kinda impossible to beat. -.-
@Schattenlied =P
Ye not really running many condition removal skills, so I have never tried it myself^^ But I kinda always wanted to test it out. Moreover it sounds like a fun skill to use^^ =P
Excellent video Wing ! Very inspiring.
Thank you very much! =)
