Has anyone ever taken this trait?

It seems like warrior are getting their own, better version of it (cleanse a condition when spending a bar of adrenaline AND get adrenaline when hit) as a master tier trait.

Shattered Conditions is a trait that, in theory, could make the mesmer at least remotely able to deal with conditions but fails to do due to horrible placement.

Inspiration is our phantasm traitline. Every minor trait in there buffs phantasms and if you specialize in phantasms, you simply don’t want to shatter. Assuming one would go all the way to Inspiration 30 to take this trait in a shatter build, he…
1) wouldn’t be able to take Illusionary Persona and Deceptive Evasion which are both near mandatory for a shatter build.
2) wouldn’t be able to take all needed -20% cd traits.
3) would waste 25 traitpoints since not a single trait (minor or major) in Inspiration is worth taking in a shatter build except Shattered Conditions.

So i suggest the following changes to the trait:
1) Change it into a master trait.
2) Move it to another traitline.

It’s becoming AoE condition removal.

Inspiration is also the group support traitline. Or at least healing/cleansing line. And Shattered Conditions is now becoming an AE condition cleanser, which is quite good.

It works really, really well but obviously requires 30 in inspiration and is one of 3 major things in the build that will get a huge buff if the rumored patch notes are true.

It need to be dropped to 20 points deep for that tactic to be of any real consequence for a mesmer.

The only build I can see is a pure support build which mesmers are pretty lack luster in anyways as opposed to assassin/dps builds.

When I hop onto my healway shout guardian I feel the power of support. When I’ve done support on my mesmer I feel like im more of a tanky distraction than actually doing anything helpful. I guess you can blink around and self heal until everyone else is dead then they can finish you off after killing your team while they ignored you.

Move that tactic to 20 points deep though and I can see at least a few hybrid builds picking it up.

I would like to see the support mesmer brought up though but as far as i can tell this upcoming patch isn’t doing enough to make a support mesmer really viable compared to other support classes/builds.

This trait needs to be in Dueling or i will never use it. I want it bad, its a great trait and i’d take it over dealing higher damage for example but Inspiration tree is by far my less used tree, and when i do, its for fanta builds which makes no sense to run SC.

Sure but inspiration also has skills you’ll be using in a phantasm build which don’t rely on shatter. At the end what i want is Shattered Condition with Illusionary Persona while having Deceptive evasion and that is only possible if SC is in Dueling. Too bad it ain’t happening so no matter what they do to SC i’ll always ignore it personally, sadly cuz i WANT to use it

SC doesn’t change based on how many illusions you shatter. You can shatter one, or 3 and you will still remove 1 condition.

With that in mind, you only need it in conjunction with DE OR IP.
